Donegal looked in control much of the first half, lead by 5 at HT. Derry struggling to get into decent positions in attack.
4/5 on Donegal to win the 2nd half with B365 looks more than fair imo. Also under 10.5 pts for Derry @5/6 - hard to see them getting 7pts in the 2nd half unless they get a goal.

Poor enough alright, but doesn't the Ulster Championship always look like that??
Worth watching B365 GAA prices imo, especially inplay, can often nick a point or two on handicaps and the like.

That's the worst Derry team I've seen in my lifetime.
Absoutely no fight in them at all or any pride for the jersey.
They should be ashamed of themselves.A disgrace to the county.

Meath doing this week what they should of done last week. 1-11 to 0-4 at HT, and they hit the post and Sheridan missed a one-on-one. Just hit post again at start of 2nd half.
10/11 to score another goal with Powers worth a small dabble imo.

Donegal did look impressive, McGuinness and his management team have introduced a more effective attacking style to their unique system. In all fairness not as hard on the eye compared to the beginning of last year on their way to winning Ulster. When you see their corner backs bombing up the field and pegging over points eg. Frank McGlynn you know they have brought something new to their game. Kind of reminded me of Dublin last year. As for Derry, dont know what they are at up there, provinicial finalists in 2011 you would imagine they would build on that this season but they were totally disjointed and the players showed no pride in the jersey. Subtract the Bradley Bros and they only scored 0-2pts. I'd expect John Brennan to hit the highway after today. Donegal will take beating, Tyrone will have plenty on their hands, that semi final will be an intriuging clash.
Meath finally delivered. Listened to it on the radio and by the sound of things it was a very good performance. I thought it would have been a close encounter but well done to the players they knuckled down and played to the best of their ability. Hopefully we can deliver a challenge against Kildare/Offaly on July 1st.
Well done P. Byrne with two goals good to see him back to his best. Brian Farrell also with nine points to his name. Onwards and Upwards.
Today's two football games were pretty lopsided. Donegal did look impressive, McGuinness and his management team have introduced a more effective attacking style to their unique system. In all fairness not as hard on the eye compared to the beginning
Football: Kildare v Offaly - Tomas O'Connor first goalscorer 13/2 / anytime 5/2.
Hurling: Galway v Offaly - Offaly win 3/1

All odds of PP.

steve I genuinely thought Offaly would nearly beat Galway. Barring in mind the lack of consistency shown by the Tribe hurlers over the last couple of years and the 4 or 5 goals they conceded against Westmeath although they did win with a bit to spare. Offaly were disappointing, I thought they would build on their victory over Wexford but they were very poor. Perhaps this Galway team will finally come of age and be major contenders this year.
Waterford and Clare served up a fantastic game of hurling. In-experience may have cost the Banner men a place in the Munster final.
Football, as expected Kildare won with ease against Offaly. As Pat Spillane highlighted last night on the Sunday Game, a lack of goals could be the difference between Kildare winning an All Ireland and not winning an All Ireland.

They could be a darkhorse gant along with Limerick. I think Limerick will be eager to get back into action after their breakdown against Tipp a few weeks ago. They had Tipp beat but failed to close out the game and bottled it.

The match odds for the Westmeath/Wexford game are ridiculous!
The Leinster SHC this year - Offaly beat Wexford by 2 pts Galway beat Westmeath by 10 pts Galway beat Offaly by 14 pts
How on earth can PP brand Wexford at 1/25 to win the game and install Westmeath at 9/1!

Split stakes gives you over 41/1 on Wexford winning by 9 exactly. Obviously it is a long shot, but probably 16-18/1 is right (the handicap draw is top price 14/1, and Wexford by 9-10 is a skinny 9/2 with B365)
Have had a few hundred on either side, for a liability of €13.81

Your right Anyska, there was a time Westmeath wouldnt get within an arses roar of Wexford but things have changed, Wexford have disimproved greatly in the small ball game over the last number of years and Westmeath have rose greatly in hurling, credit to them.
You could say football is number one priority in the model county and hurling for Westmeath now.
Wexford may scrape through this though. Wexford Park will be a huge advantage. You would have to fancy Westmeaths chances if it were in Cusack park.

Westmeath are fit enough going by the last few games, coming back against antrim and keeping tabs with galway in the second half. Unless guiney goes for goals with every 21, the handicap will be safe. Galway did score alot of goals albeit without canning but they can do that to anyone. Only for a bad laois team, wexford would be playing in division 3 next year.

Yes indeed its taken a while for things to warm up but they surely hotted up this weekend. Kilkenny on fire, going to take some stopping or a real off-day by 6/7 of the team, just outstanding again The ref put the saddle on and rode Down for all he was worth, but they out gunned him close home, a deserved win but will need to improve alot, they might. Wexford and Limerick hurlers had big wins against weak opposition, Westmeath have a few good young lads but i'm afraid its back to the drawing board for them. Mayo had a big win against what must be a very weak Leitrim, weakened no doubt by immigration, what will they ever do with all the tax break houses built in lovely Leitrim ? Tipperary used all their craft+guile to send the new look Cork to the round-robin where they will probably draw Dublin. Tipperary and maybe Galway on a good day look the only threat to KK., while a few teams could win Sam as it looks more open than the hurling. Tyrone v Donegal next weekend and Kildare and Meath play also and we could surely have a draw or even two, as plenty in the GAA tipping competition were really unlucky this weekend as both Monaghan+Cork could have got draws Roll on next Saturday...........

Tipperary were brilliant yesterday and are playing themselves into form as is Lar Corbett, one certainty is they will meet Kilkenny in the final and probably beat them.

Cork had the winning of that game yesterday and the 2 goal chances should have bagged 6 points rather than 2 points. They lacked experience and decisiveness yesterday. They also were guilty of some naivety in the final 3rd and players like Lehane took too much out of it when they had it.
JBM was poor on the line yesterday and the changes he made did not work and were perplexing. The problem was in the half back line and in particular Cadogan was poor. Unless he was not fit to play any part, how did Gardiner remain on the bench for the duration when he could have made a vital difference if sprung from the sideline.
They really should have won yesterday but left it behind them.
