7 race card 6 hurdle races 1 Bumper and a few cool ones on a bank holiday sunday Cool

Any tips or opinions post here lads

I think one of the local trainers will win the first handicap hurdle, they seem to do fairly well in at their home track.

sorry to be boring but mullins has a chance of at least a double imo...
3'40 local celebrity, should go close in what looks a trappy affair..i wont make up my mind till just before the off..
4.15 dr machini
they thought enough of her to take over here to aintree for the mares bumper..she ran well..and if her jumping holds up on debut over hurdles i think she,ll win
5.55 sizing Tennessee, a max bet for me..ran well on debut in a decent fairyhouse bumper..a repeat of that run will be good enough imo

Good morning,
Local celebrity looks the safe choice alright in the 3.10,His excellency has class runs in his last few races in grade 1,s where he wasn,t beaten all that far.Talented but let down with his attitude(Have to laugh when i see his tail going, not seen nothing like it.)Tango Banbou would seem to hold his excellency on a line through Maggie Neary but the two p.u,s either side of that run is off putting. As P.W rode local Celeb in all its runs to date wouldn,t worry me about Ruby on Tango.Given Loc.Cel hasn,t a run for a few months think you are right to hold on til near the off, market should tell a lot here.
Archie Meade 4.50.
Probably better at 3m and 4f less is a slight worry, all the same won a nice handicap lto and looks a "free" each way to take on the hot fav.
Good luck if having a punt today, have a good weekend all.

Glorious day in Sligo, looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and a big crowd at my local track.
Report pa lapsy May 6, 2012 11:15 AM BST
I,m not great on the flat but looking At Maareks 3.50 NM last couple of runs, gritty rather than spectacular probably would be best way i,d describe them.Still they don,t look the hottest of opponents here (Maarek staying on behind a probably in form Cheveton last year)
With young Joe up and double figures might be worth a small ew?

Backed him for the place at a touch under evens, happy with that.
Going back to Local Cel race,They kept tango banbou out the back after he won from the front and left L.C go off in front. You couldn,t be up to them.
Dr machini another one for ya,fair dues.Grin

Great to see the members of the Sligo Rovers Football Club were there yesterday as guests of honour at the track for their opening day fixture. They were asked to present to the winning connections of the big race. Great PR for the track getting the team in and the owners looked buzzing to be meeting the lads as well as all the kids. WD all.

Good PR by Sligo especially when the Sligo lads were away playing New York.
Report Rocketfingers May 7, 2012 2:23 PM BST
Never even knew Sligo were playing in NY yesterday and i love my sports, i don't see any reports in the paper are you sure? Confused

Rocketfingers.....Sligo people would know........I'd say the 3 lads from Sligo that are on the sligo rovers panel would have been rooting for them.
Report Rocketfingers May 7, 2012 3:42 PM BST
Just with Rovers doing so well it goes to the back of people's minds, they're the people's team. Great win for the GAA lads looking forward already to the next round will be there cheering them on.

On another thread Rocketfingers stated " two west of Ireland bookies went 4/5 " when asked to name them he failed, the spoofer wasn`t there indeed has never attended any race meeting, now GANT007 has caught him out again.
Report dj876 May 7, 2012 9:45 PM BST
Who cares whether Rocketfingers was at Sligo???Seriously lads try keeping all yer crap on the one thread-truly is painful
Report Rocketfingers May 7, 2012 9:55 PM BST
How has Gant caught me out though? Crazy comments and dj876 who cares if i was there or not but what i say is fact so i must have been there ;)
Report dj876 May 7, 2012 9:58 PM BST
Ur a sad Troll,a deluded fantasist who hasn't got a notion about racing/punting!!
Report Rocketfingers May 7, 2012 9:59 PM BST
Should read 'and as dj876 says who cares' not turning every thread into a which hunt against me.
Report huddys May 7, 2012 10:01 PM BST
why dont you name the 2 big bookies who went 4/5 then rocketfinger and that will put a stop to all this, and people saying you werent there?
Report Rocketfingers May 7, 2012 10:07 PM BST
djb876 not sure why you're having a pop at me, going to my local track is hardly the stuff of fantasy is it? Unless the rest of you live in a very sad and sheltered world. Bloody hell why should i name 2 bookmakers just for Wildman benifit on a public forum? Wildman follows me on every thread possible insulting me. Everything i said is true the RP back up that the price only touched 4/5 like i said.
Report wildmanfromborneo May 7, 2012 10:11 PM BST
Not alone can Rocketfingers not name them but he is so friendless he can`t even ring up someone who was there to tell him.
The reason you should name them is self evident, this is the umpteenth time you have been caught out,its getting so easy the fun is gone out of it.
Report dj876 May 7, 2012 10:12 PM BST
Going to your Local track isn't but acting as an agent for the asians-I would be surprised if U cud name a country in Asia. Anyways I shouldn't be feeding u by replying because u must be a troll-it's frankly  not possible for someone to be so dim.
Report Rocketfingers May 7, 2012 10:26 PM BST
I never said i was an agent for Asian bookmakers? When did i said that dj876? Seems like i'm not the only living in a fantasy world is it !? Next time you want to accuse me of something make sure you get your facts straight.

I'm not naming the names, don't see why i should name people on a public forum there ain't too many bookmakers from the west of Ireland.

"I just want to stand up for Rocketfngers here regarding the stakes accepted on LOI matches.
I bet only with asians and a few hours pre kick off you can get €3000+ on (limits are clearly displayed), then the odds fall a notch, then you bet again etc etc, do this with several bookies... however you wont be able to get 100k on at anything close to the odds of your initial installment of the bet due to the odds being cut ever time the limit is reached.
I provide LOI tips to a syndicate who bet several thousand per bet on asian handicap markets so I know what I'm talking about"
Apologies TOTO

well without getting into a big debate with you rocketfinger if you seen the 2 bookies going 4/5 alot of other punters would of seen the same 2 bookies pricing up 4/5 so dont see why you wont say who they are,

Rocketfingers...........I wasn't there but was told a fair bit of the ring went 4/5.........Gordon will no doubt turn a tidy profit on it's sale.........Plenty of notices up wishing the Sligo footballers luck against New York.....you didn't even know this game was on till late sunday night........the biggest giveaway was not crowing about the sligo rovers players presenting something until the day after..........you have been rumbled again.

You were rumbled last week when someone mentioned your posts on the SRFC ULTRAS forum.

So this non betting fantasist is not even from Sligo, does he lie about everything. The clues were there i thought he might be housebound as it was obvious to me he attended no sporting events but in another thread when he was being shown up he misspelt the name of a famous Sligo poet, the Ivan way rather than the William Butler way,it was also fairly obvious he never heard of him.
