A few this eve

Caprella 8.45.  Beaten a head by Piri Wango lto but 3lb better off this eve.  Piri 2/1, Caprella 8/1. Surely value at 8s

World Ruler 7.45.  Finally getting competitive off its current rating having been once rated 106.  With one of the best trainers of handicappers in the country, this lad will surely be winning soon if not tonight.

Whitethorn Scent 8.15.  Eye catching on its last few runs and dropped 4lb since running well here last time.  Lay off a slight concern, but trainer in form and jockey booking significent, given trainer/jockey strike rate.  Money for R Roberts horse noted however.

Mind the steps. 9.10.  Stable runners have been running well, and this lad certainly capable of keeping that run going.  Interesting that S Heffernan stays on board having ridden this lad first time when 4th in Lim lto.  Similar to world ruler, that if not today, then certainly capable of winning a similar type handicap at some stage.

G/L all.

A few to lay tonight.

Race 1) Oonagh 3.45 Out to 4.5 afterwards. Result in now.

Race 2) Piri Wango 3.25 Tobywong, would Johnny not feel obliged to ride for Lyons when available rather than Lynam. He will likely be on Lightening Pearl for him in the 1000 Guineas on Sunday.

Race 3) Elusive In Paris Michael Grassick brought off a nice touch with this one last autumn.

Race 4) Kedleston 6.8 Drifting out to 7.6 now.

Race 5) Misty Lane 6.4 Gambled on. Ought to have laid it at 5.8 but stupidly took the 6.4 earlier. 5.3 now.

Race 6) Train Of Thought 2.34 Johnny Ward thinks the one backed in this race will win. This is the one. Now 2.06

Race 7) Paddy The Celeb 4.1 Well backed to give the new combo Halford/Foley a live chance. 3.5 now.

Liberty to Rock (Each Way)has a liking for Dundalk and never runs a bad race at the venue. He runs off a winning mark, I think he will go well.

Maybe Wayne Lordan could have asked Slade Power to make an effort a bit sooner?
