sad to hear, though i worried pre tournament when there was no turks qualified , joe ward is one of the most talented people to come out of this country in a while sporting wise , sad to see him screwed by sporting politics

There is 1 invitional spot at most weight divisions .Does this go to the highest ranked boxer or how does it work ? If so has he any chance of getting it ?

I presume that the invite usually goes to a host nation boxer

it must be the crookedest sport on earth.some of the decisions both pro and amateur we have seen have been unreal.hard luck on ward.it must be heartbreaking for him.

been hearing that they cant don anything because 'no rules were broken'? what in the name if jaysus does someone have to do to get a bit of justice. football, boxing, are they all backward? chelseas 'goal', now this fing, can they not just use a video to have a look back at these things and just ammend the result ffs.

i didnt see the fight but IF what wards team are saying is true and its as clear as day which many are convinced it is. wards team counted 12 landed to 4 landed by the turk in the final round (rules state u can only review 1 round apparently) and yet the judges called it 6 landed (turk) to 4 landed by ward so thats a pretty big discrepency so why the hell cant officals review these things?

It seems that joe was consoled by a number of boxers of different nationalities leaving the ring , everyone bar the turks and the judges knows who won , hard to believe 24 years after the decision v roy jones in seoul this is still going on.
