Good read there bjg I'm not really into the flat just yet, and Mallow and flat races are lethal, some desperate results down there over the years. I do remember that Tipp race where she was backed off the board to beat Requinto+co. I really facied Requinto but was put off by the amount of money for the fav on the night. Think Requinto had previously shown blistering speed in Mallow, was it ? In any event that was almost a one horse race as Requinto flew up the Tipp strait, best of luck and I will monitar the race from my stool in pp's,(yes I bought that stool)

Sundays Grade 3 Imperial Call Chase with a winners prize of over 17k is a race to set your juices flowing...

Tough as Nails, conditions to suit (no penalties) top rated and getting weight from basically the whole field.. ignore 2 runs over (7f didn't stay)cut above on form, entry in 2000 Guineas shows how high in esteem its held, unbelievable price ya can do it each way.
By:
Ta seamo.....will follow you in today......the classic entry seals it for me.....after failing to stay 7f.....let's enter him in an 8f race.....
By:
Tough as Nails ran well early 2011 when the ground was probably soft/ish, so has there been rain in Mallow, as the ground will be like the road if no rain,
By:
So what if the ground is all against him.....he's entered in the guineas.....what more do ya want to know......
By:
Now that's how to give an in depth write up,rather than the tools on here-this is a cert, blah blah blah hope ii wins for you,and you have almost persuaded me too
By:
I'm following seamo....so snorlax u may as well jump on the train too.....I hope it's not a case of the blind leading the blind here.....ok the grounds too quick....ok it mightn't have trained on......ok it's a devilishly hard race.....who cares about all that.....it's entered on the guineas......booooooommmmm

Slade Power split Reply and Tenth Star first time out at the Curragh last season who respectively ended the season with ratings of 109 and 108. Slade Power won next time out and today runs off a mark of 92. Johnny Murtagh on board and in form stable. If he is fit he wins.

lookingforthe****, everyone is entitled to post an opinion on a forum, I dont think I have ever seen you post anything of any relevance.
BJG that is an excellent contribution Good post BJG best of luck |
By:
Lookingforthewildman you misunderstand Seamo91s point,he thought it didn`t stay that doesn`t mean the connections agree, his point about the Guineas entry is they still hold him in high regard. To extrapolate an aside and keep on repeating it is wrong especially when your own venture into tipping was the disastrous Cert thread where you just baldly said this 8/13 shot would win at Kempton because the trainer told you with the inevitable result, nearer last than first.
Your point about it being a devilishly hard race is true but they are trading at double figure prices so they deserve credit for trying to solve a tough one. |
By:
Entered in the Guineas means nought, mite just add a few K to a sale price if a buyer was onto it...... just how many were entered in the Guineas that wont see a racecourse, Tough as Nails did well last year,

Hate to go against BJG as he is in such hot shot form but i have a feeling neither Experience or Tough As Nails will train on.My idea of the winner is Six of Hearts,he is well drawn and despite being by Pivotal will love the ground and is ridden by a top apprentice who is full of confidence, the only reason i won`t nap him is the trip as he might prefer a bit further.
My nap for what its worth is Speaking Of Which in the last, there was great word for him all day at the Curragh,i thought he would need the run so think it was a great first run,his two main rivals ran in what i think was a moderate Leopardstown maiden so think he will win. |

U may be correct re Experience and Tough as Nails wildman - cant give either of em away today

Did Murtagh drop his whip near the finish?
By:
unlucky BJG...another stride...
By:
Pity he didnt drop it 5 yards sooner if he did

By:
Unlucky BJG,thought the way the betting was going the horse had no chance, missed the break to boot.
By:
I'd say the Mulvaney's are raging they didn't take the nice offer they got for tough as nails after his 2nd run last year......hindsight is a wonderful thing.
By:
That should put him spot on for the guineas.....Cracking run.....
By:
Good calls there The Gotchee and Bjg
By:
Just he never used it after gicing the winner a good few cracks a good bit out, maybe he thought it would do no more good
By:
