Can see what you like about Leceile, she was visually very impressive lto time out,Playing devils advocate, did she beat a lot in coral creek/jeunopse?.First run for 6 months how fit will she be?
Think its between her and little green whose form is very solid, mixing it with sailors warn, final approach,a run in the old Peirse Hur,even her run behind the bishop looney is good reading with the ones behind her.
Wouldn,t put you off at all tony57 but a race to swerve for me. GL

Commiserations there tony57,didn,t make a great fist with my analysis of the race in any case with the 2 i thought would be involved unplaced. think legend was spot on horse had to lead and boss the race which didn,t happen.
Thought it was an unusual betting heat,Leceile steady all day 2.7/.8,weakened when betting opened in the face of a sustained gamble on the sligo publican and couldn.t be given away at 4.0 at the off.
Thought the winner won well.

The winner was reputedly the best horse Willie Mullins ever trained two years ago and was subject of a massive gamble in Galway that went west, changed ownership and returned for the Tramore festival with same result, wonder how she got to Byrnes.

I didn,t know it was so well regarded, thought its bumper form was,nt up to a lot, very impressed with her today, was swinging coming into the straight and quickened away, one to watch.

Same owner had her the whole time when Willie had her. He thought little enough of her to run her in Tramore that day. Massive step up in form today from those runs and she'll win again if staying sound.

Horse pulled like a train the whole way through and still quickened up when pressed for the lead in the straight,I would have thought in running layers might have been stung.

Johnnys Lantern was not in the same ownership when in the care of Willie Mullins, the mare was leased out by her owner seemingly got injured and sent home and has now been leased out again.
Willie Mullins thought the world of her and i think he will be proved right albeit belatedly.

She ran for William Murray both days with Mullins (same man that owns Boxer Georg). If he had her leased from another owner then this was done before she made her debut and ahe may well have been leased out to the current syndicate since last year.

While she was obviously well thought of according to the betting on both days she was beat both times in bad races. The latter run in Tramore on Firm ground especially seems a strange one given her performance yesterday. One wonders why Mullins ran a mare with that much ability and a noteworthy page there given the inherent risks associated with running under those conditions. No surprise that she had plenty of time off after it anyway and may finally get her career back on track.

Does seem an extraordinary decision, maybe because she was leased so no concern for the owner.

A marvellous crowd turned up for a rather mundane card run under glorious conditions. The crowds this season have been remarkable given the recession.

The hightlight of the day was the valuable bumper where Summer Star under a peach of a ride from Katy Walsh came from last to first keeping out of trouble to win comprehensively. I think it could turn out to be a good race as there was a generous pace and and quite a few fancied.

The wally of the day was reserved for Charles Byrnes who allowed two good winners go by without any real bets struck on either.

It was the lesser stables who were on the score sheet after this.
Michael Hourigan recording a double, Jim Culloty and Dessie Hughes also on the scoresheet after a fairly testing winter.
