this looks a decent maiden and t stack horses are normally ready to roll early on but ive had a word for j.bolgers dawn approach ..first batch of new approach offspring and the yard have targeted this race before ...
Remember Bolger last year with his 2yr olds early in the season, was kin sensational form.
Surprisingly costly Danehill Dancer running for Coolmore in this. Stable looks very forward this year judging by the entries for other races.

Check out the ten year stats for the opening meet in the Irish Field - interesting reading , time was APOB won the opening juvenile race with one of his better 2yos but he has not won the race in the last 7/8 years and his overall record for this meet is equally underwhelming

A marvellous crowd turned up for the curtain raiser of the 2012 season at the Curragh yesterday on a glorious day. All the big stables bagged a winner with the exception of O'Brien who is always slow out of the blocks.
Race 1) Dawn Approach 1/1f. The best backed horse in the race (7/4 am) this one was always in the forefront and won handily enough. No better man than Bolger for advertising a first season sire and this should help get New Approach a few more coverings this season.
Race 2) Redoubtable 9/1. Laddies had nine horses in single figures. They certainly didn't take any chances here. This one was freely available at 14/1 on here. This was a cavalry charge spread right across the width of the track with the far side surprisingly favoured. This one won easy catching the flattering Rigoletta. This could be a make or break season for Chris Hayes. He will have a lot more opportunities now that he is back in favour with Lady O'Reilly. Atacx (7/2f) finished on the premises in fourth. Stack's horses don't seem to be quite as forward as previous years.
Race 3) Croisultan 5/1. The best backed horse from 12/1 in the morning came late enough but was always going to catch the fav Maarek (9/2f). It looked a picture in the paddock. Weld certainly has improved this horse who was with Liam McAteer last season.
Race 4) Chrysanthemum 8/1. Wachman has come out of the blocks running and this one was always prominent and went clear inside the last furlong. Well backed too(11/1 am). Twirl (7/4f) ran on well to be second and will come on a ton for the run.
Race 5) Coolnagree 7/2. Another well backed winner (5/1 am), This one was trained for today while the others have their main targets later on. Wayne Lordan again had this one prominent and went away inside the last furlong. Wayne hasn't been mentioned as a possible champion jockey, but with two stables to ride for and a host of outside rides coupled with the fact that he can do light he could be in with a squeak. Swerve the 9/4 jolly had every chance and plugged on for third.
Race 6) Sharestan 3/1f. This one was well touted all day and the vibes proved right. Yet again another well backed winner (11/2 am), this one was held off the pace by Johnny but when he came he did so in decisive fashion to win comprehensively.
Race 7) Amira's Prince 14/1. A right result for the layers as a number of well fancied runners were left in his wake. This one completed a treble for Lordan and a double for Wachman. Always prominent he fought off the well fancied pair Speaking Of Which and Violet Lashes. Unanimous (2/1f) had his run blocked a number of times according to Stamford Bridge.
