With so little rain this winter horses with a preference for slower groun would want to start putting on their skates.

They say from the 15th February the ground starts drying out big time if the rainfall is scarce.
Before that date the moisture stays in the ground.

1) Eddie Harty. doesn't pop up too often.

2) D K Weld. Bar Galway, NH winners are few and far between.

3) Miss M M Gannon. I was just reading that's just her third winner. Also reading that she's just back from two years off after a bad fall that left her near paralysed.

4) W P Mullins. This used to be with Tyner but as usual once W P gets his hands on one the improvement is amazing.

5) Eoghan O'Grady. Another named that doesn't crop much at all. More renowned for being mixed up with Eddie O'Grady.

6) Ken Budds. I don't know too much about him as a trainer except that he wasn't a bad amateur in his day. Can't think of too many winners he has trained other than this one.
