Looks like the market is a bit Irish....
Ut de sivola is fav and has done nothing wrong but Hisaabat was giving him a good run for his money before headbutting the ground after the last at punchestown.
Hisaabat follows this decent effort by going out and getting turned over in a maiden at short odds by another mullins horse, who willie doesnt feel is good enough to take a chance here.
To me it doesnt say much for Ut de Sivola. Maybe the horse will prove me wrong but it appears that there may be a chance for one of the raiders to step in here.
Countrywide Flame has proven form at this level and it would seem to me the prices dont reflect this, the Mccain horse he was second to went on to run well in a good race in cheltenham and at the prices would seem to have been underestimated to some extent.
Asaid hasnt really been tested at any great level but what he has done was visually impressive and geraghty gives the horse a real chance on his blog (would have a decent line on the henderson horse that asaid beat)

Countrywide flame 2pt 6/1
Asaid 1pt 12/1

Very good write up,fayzur you weren,t far away.Asaid strange race, finshed with a fair bit left in him.
Just two small bets for me today,Snow spell 1.35 won well lto, hoping she,s improving to cope in a fair rise class, and the tother one 4.20,ought to be held by viking splash, hoping the run will have brought him on and can show his old form.

If a horse is 200/1 , who has hundreds on it ? Unless of course they back everything in the race for a small profit ,

AFTER HIS NAVAN Maiden Hurdle win .............

A winner at Bandon in a point-to-point when with John O'Brien & Debbie Hartnett (beat the subsequent track winner Forgotten Gold that day), Benefficient showed himself in a promising light for the first time on the racecourse proper by easily landing the Slane Maiden Hurdle at Navan under Ruby Walsh.

Going up in trip to two and a half miles, Walsh was keen to make use of Benefficent's stamina, making all. From before the last he had Don't Back Down beaten, as odds-on favourite Knockgraffon King (looked unlikely from early in the straight) toiled in behind. The last named eventually ran on to finish eight lengths off the comfortable winner.

Tony Martin trains Benefficient for Aidan Shiels (his colours were carried by 2009 Kerry National hero Northern Alliance) and he said: "I'd say he's a good horse. He's always shown us that he's a good horse .
"He was a bit unlucky here the last day when he stumbled and got rid of Ruby at the second last. That was over two and he was staying on at the time.

"I'm delighted for the owner who is originally from Killucan. He is a great owner, as good as you could wish to have. Hopefully this will help to make up for some bad luck he's had lately."

Willie on RTE when Tracy asks for a tip (one to follow) - his immediate reaction is a hesitation to tip Sous Les  Cieux - says afterwards he hasn't "lost faith in Sous".

BUT then tips "Boston Bob - his best young horse to follow - depending on which race he runs in at Cheltenham of course" in a laugh !

A great crowd turned up in pleasant conditions for the high claas fixture

Race 1) Hasabaat 15/2 The surprise was the great price about this one. He had today's jolly Ut De Sivola (2/1) beaten when he made a hash of the last at Punch LTO. This one will follow the course Unaccompanied took last year by going for the Triumph hopefully going one better. Ut De Sivola was yet another jolly of Willie's to bite the dust since Thursday never raising a gallop.

Race 2) Catleen 7/2f A reasssuring victory for Willie Mullins here to set up a great day for him. A big penalty was well defied. Yet another massive improver when it gets to the Mullins yard having previously been with S Crawford.

Race 3) Benneficient 50/1 An opportunist ride here from young Cooper who rode the opposition to sleep for his first Grade 1 victory. I watched this from the betting ring and couldn't believe the cheers for this 50/1 rag. It later emerged that the owner had a 50th birthday party the night before and it seems as if most of them made it here such were the celebrations. Sous Les Sous the 2/1f closed all the way to the line but the cat had flown. Kevin Blake had tipped this one up at The Morning Line show on course earlier in the day at 66/1.

Race 4) Last Instalment. 8/11f Philip Fenton's flagbearer keeps on doing it and made all for yet another victory which began this season in the appaling rain at Galway in October. Whether he gets his ground in mid March is debateable.

Race 5) Dul Ar An Ol. 12/1 At eleven year's of age this horse could argueably be in the form of his life making it No 3 for the season. Although only a half length winner this one was value for more having encountered trouble in the straight. Both Ryan McElliogtt and Peter O'Hehir tipped this one up. (20/1 on BF) Munsaab 6/1f was a gallant fourth in a race which did the handicapper proud.

Race 6) Quel Esprit 5/4f. Was given an "easy" making all so that his stamina wasn't tested to the full. As Willie says it's his only chaser worth sending to Cheltenham he may as well go. There were too many if's and but's about the opposition which was certainly shown up.

Race 7) Salsify 11/1. A heart warming story here as Colman Sweeney having been out for 18 months back got back into the limelight on the best jumping card of the year. He certainly put himself in the shop window with a magical performance. Out the back he came through with a double handful and won easy. On The Fringe (9/4f) was always playing catch up eventually a staying on third.

Race 8) Pigue Sous 7/4f. The pick of the paddock this grey was kept in the cat bird seat by young Patrick and when he gave him the office on the turn in, the response was immediate for a most impressive victory.
