The Rev Ian Paisley, the former Northern Ireland First Minister, has been taken to hospital after unconfirmed reports claimed he suffered a heart attack.

He will be remembered as a great son of Ireland. In his younger days he was a hothead and I am sure he will admit himself he didn't exactly quinch the flames of sectarian hatred that came after but he made more strides in the past 12 years to more than atone for that.
