silver,no one can say for sure if he'd have won or not though,so its irrelevant tbh,
ps Carruthers only won a Hennessey because they done a good job pulling the wool over everyones eyes schooling in public quite a lot with the beast,He'll never win another race again, wont need to,job has been done, What a Friend is as slow as a boat and gives Tidal Bay a run for his money as the biggest hound in training |

Lazy was not directed at either of you.
It is spouted year in year out by the racing media who work full time in the game, when it has not been analysed properly. It then becomes embedded in the consciousness of many casual racing viewers and attendees, who accept what they hear frequently, as fact. I appreciate that does not apply to you, although I would disagree with you on the point. The Arkle is a championship race as well and has a mix or very poor winners and quality horses, similar to the RSA. Other than the golden era from 2002-2004, Klairon Davis, Flagship Uberalles and Sizing Europe, there have been some very moderate winners of that contest from thee early 90s as well, who have done very little subsequently. Some of these were really hyped afterwards (Tiutchev - my luckiest ever Champion Chase winning bet!!), but did not live up to it. Others were seen as average at the time and proved to be that and worse. Like the RSA it depends on the horse and there are some excellent renewals and some very average years. |

It would be great to compare the two races as i think that would give the definitive answer,i will leave that to the statisticians. |

Interesting comments re Previous RSA winners.
You will see Cooldine been offloaded to some small handler just to play with. He's no addition, the change of owners says it all. Finished. |
