The article was a bit boastful alright I thought.Considering PP made 5 million in their shops last year,which works out at 500 a week per shop,John Spoils crowd must be complete and utter geniuses paying about 70k approx per annum rent per shop and still make it pay.Maybe Im missing something here.

Considering they are locked into stupid rents for many of their shops for leases made during the boom years the fact that they are still growing suggests that he is doing something right.

I think pp made €5m in their shops for the first 6 months which wound equate to €1k per week.I would doubt spoils are anywhere near this but the €1k per week would be after deducting expenses such as rent.
Just a personal opinion but the boss of Spioils came across as a dislikeable individual in the interview.Good to see his caring attitude to his employees though

Sorry I misinterpreted what you were saying.I would imagine his turnover per shop would on average be lower than flowers with higher average rents.I wonder what level of borrowing he has given the average kit out per shop which was reputedly north of €200k.
