The Giants got 'hot' at the right time and fully deserved their victory. Going into week 16 they had to win every game if they where to be champions and they done so. Beat the Jets in week 16, beat the Cowgirls in week 17 and then onto the playoffs thrashed the Falcons, went to Lambeau and beat the Packers and then to Candlestick and beat the 49ers before beating the Pats in the Superbowl. Not a bad achievement that and how good is Eli Manning down the stretch? To think he was being criticised at the start of the season and he had to defend himself and maybe thought he was crazy when he claimed he was an elite QB, well that's twice he has now done the Pats down the stretch in a Superbowl. He has turned into a real top class QB and he actually gets better the more pressure he is under.

no point thanking Rocket thank Tom Brady for failing to see the big picture, he should have managed that game out, Giants dwn to one TO, just over 4 mins on the clock, great field position and what does he do throws the ball (Fair enof welker should have caught it) Instead of running it and burning the clock, another set of downs would have been game, he did it against Baltimore too and got away with it, ego got the better of him.

Wexler should have caught that pass, but Pats were 2nd and 11 at the time and had avg 4.3 yds/rush so they had to throw it. Giants were the better team imo and deserved their win they out gained the Pats in yards both with the rush and passing and also on the amount of first downs and i don't think they played that well.

Giants controlled the clock (15 mins more possession than Pats) but still Brady had a minute at the end of the game to win it. You need to be winning games easier than that when you have the ball for a full quarter more than the opposition.
Great game though |

Brady made a rookie error with the safety, he knew what he was takaing a risk, they gave up 9 points on that, Giants got all the breaks, recovered 3 of their own fumbles, mis managed the play clock twice and got away with it, I hear what your saying but my opinion is that Brady should have managed that game out, at 2nd and 11 he did'nt need 30 yards from the play, he always wants it to look good.

Going back to Brady's 3 SB wins they grinded them out the ugly way for the most part (Bar the Carolina final where they won a shot out).
The great thing about american sports is that the players and coaches lose games not the officials unlike what we have to put up with on this side of the world. |

Yes they got the rub of the green recovering their fumbles and the Welker drop but in the first half 2 stupid pens stopped them getting big 1st downs that more than likely would of led to points. Then in the 4th they should of got a pass interference call (can't remember who on) but it was not called, Coughlan was livid about it.
The Giants where simply the better team in my opinion, the odds where totally wrong pre match in my opinion (which i said, not aftertiming) and i think it is desperate harsh blaming defeat for the Pats on Brady. On the play where he threw the interception he was lucky to not get stripped of the ball by the Giants D and done well to get away from them, he then threw the ball long and let's be honest who here expected Chase Blackburn to come down with the ball ahead of Gronkowski. As for the 2nd and 11, it was Welker's fault, he clearly should of made the catch (as should Hernandez and others on the last drive). |
