Frenetic fluctuating betting at Fairyhouse yesterday with the main players being the fat man and the Youghal contingent.I was watching on here and having my own bets,sadly Fairyhouse too far away for me now but i had a colleague there.In the 1.00 race That`ll Do Me running now in Mrs Greenstreets colours was very strong here backed into 2.5 but then the massive drift as the aforementioned duo started to lay,never going to win job well done.Rathlin very strong in the next,The Shepherd very weak,knowledge of the wind operation seemed to filter through..
My nap Its The Ice I Like ran next,i was punting it small at around 1.9 intending to have far more when i received a call from Fairyhouse saying don`t back lay, Youghal have it no good.It was shortening here into around 1.61 so i presumed he had got it wrong but then the massive drift,the drift was an insatiable one suddenly it was back to 1.9 and then out to 2,18,just let my small wager ride.He was beaten a long way job well done again.The 3.10 brought a massive gamble on Give Us A Hand here was sorely tempted to lay this slow horse,sadly resisted.
I liked Dr Machinis run in Wexford and considering Willie Mullins had won with his last six bumper horses was ready to punt it ,with the main danger withdrawn was worried about price and it was 1.57 not me but then the drift she was out to 1.83 again a phone call stating the unbeatable combination are laying it big,sat back watched it go out to nearly 7/4 with incredulity,didn`t lay Dr Machini had a small bet on Glen Countess and then watched her hack up,was annoyed for a bit but then realised they are not right all the time,even Homer nods.

The Dr Machini race says it all,Trainer states pre race he's not happy running against the second fav (moderate horse) and thinks it can't beat it but will let it take its chance anyway,said pigeon catcher is withdrawn and the fav (backed by people earlier here at 30/100-4/7) drifts to nearly 7/4 and wins without having to break sweat,swimming with sharks comes to mind but the layers here certainly swallowed the bait,hook line & sinker.
interesting view on the market assuming it's all unimpeachable.

Unimpeachable my hole.....the wildman is gone bonkers......even if the stuff hes on about was true which it more than likely isnt,he could never ever prove it.....another thing wildman and that is i had a man in fairyhouse too and he said you were there.....funny how you never posted yesterday yet you claim you were at home.....
Only thing i know about Horace is he wrote the line Dulce et decorum est,Pro patria mori which was later used by Wilfred Owen in his anti war poem using the first part of it as its title,worth reading.
