What was the point of putting on this extra meeting on the 23rd?.
There is no racing fixtures in England on that day.
Trying to entice a few xmas work break ups I presume?.

I suppose by having their last race at 8.30 instead of the usual 9.25 is their idea of goodwill to the already overstretched betting shop staff, so they'll finish at 9 instead of 10, not to mention the unfortunate also overstretched racing staff who have to travel to and from Dundalk at unholy hours so close to christmas.

Betting Shop and stable staff have a very hectic schedule during the festive period, the thoughtless scheduling of this meeting was a kick in the teeth for them.
They should be grateful that they actually have Christmas eve off to do last minute panic buying for christmas day.

No doubt they were in collusion with the bookmakers.
If bookmakers had their way they would have racing 24 hours, 365 days a year.

Shame on you Dundalk!.

Makes you wonder da fallon how they even cover overheads?., even the biggest betting shop mugs have to do a bit of xmas shopping.
I presume its only the likes of the big bookmakers like Powers, Ladbrokes and Boyles who are opening, can't see too many independents if any opening?
