I like the look of Burrenbridge Lodge in the first - he's 3llb better off than Sam Bass and but for loosing all momentum at the last two flights could have won. The stiffer track and softer ground likely to be in his favour and a cracking ew bet at 6's.

The Drinmore is a bit disappointing as a specticle. Bar FL the rest were average over hurdles - ok Bog Warrior unexposed. I'm siding with FL - Tony Martin doesn't train grade 1 winners - Mouse does. FL should improve for his three runs so far - furthermore its likely to be a good test of stamina which will suit him

VLV in the big one - she's a credit to Colm Murphy - i've never liked Mourad for some strange reason - Oscar Wells let the form of the race up north - she looks the more solid option. It would be great to see Andrew Lynch win the two big races of the weekend - top class pilot and such an unassuming lad

Willie Mullins on the Racing Post seems to give Mourad a huge chance and also is keen on the novice with the french handle.......also that first race is very open and Brady's fella has as good a shout as anything, will front run and put it up to the others ..........I like Cloughmile for the Hourigan yard in the other chase (21k to the winner), and seems to have swung the trainers mind as he had pencilled in 8th Dec at Clonmel for Cloughmiles next run ( Hourigans own birthday).........bumper is tough but follow the money nearer the off i'd suggest.............its very easy to back one or the other of the GIGGY'S in the chase but I will pass as Davy could easily have picked the wrong one ....in any event Mourad is my one bet......

Was anyone hoodwinked by Streets of Gold commentary? I was not watching the in running commentary. They really should not have been but it was yet another error.

@ the jigger

The mans commentating is poor but its unreal that the reason he is continuing is cos his pension is worth feck all. You'd have thought the HRI would have a pension for the man.

I agree with you jigger, bit harsh calling him a clown but seriously we have to move on. The ole boy has given some amount to Irish racing but it is time for him to call it a day. It is so annoying when you have a bet on a horse in a finish and he screws up!

Great days racing, Hats of to Tony Martin delighted for him, has a lovely prospect in his hands with the Bog Warrior. Another Royal Bond for king Willie and Ruby with a grade 1 double. The highlight of the day for me was Voler Le Vedette shown the boys how its done, well done connections and to Andrew Lynch, rounded of a memorable weekend for him!.

On a silent note, great display from my old fav Lion Na Bearnai in the marathon today. Finished 5th but ran his little heart out!

The racecourse gossip beforehand was that Fenton's in the bumper would be a Cheltenham horse. it would be nice to see Philip back at Cheltenham with possibly 3 real chances.

Last Instalment

Dunguib if they can get him back to his best

And that bumper winner.
