Proinsias De Rossa time in Europe has shown him the value of making them vote again until they get it right. This gentleman having organised the second Nice referendum and then lied his way through the second Lisbon vote has now come up with a trick to overturn the voting down of the treasonous Kevin Cardiff get them to vote again.

I am fuming over de Rossa who has publicly supported this Cardiff guy telling us what a great guy Cardiff is when we all know that he lost/mislaid 1.9 billion twice and was there giving the bank guarantee to Seanie and co......just shows you how deeply corrupt the whole system is...Fine Gael obviously are very keen to get rid of the error strewn Civil Servant and anxious to offload him to Europe when he should have got his P45 and no payoff long ago......dont think that I will ever vote again.......Fianna Fail/ Fine Gael same difference .....most corrupt country in the western world  ..... wildman dont start me on the legal gangsters

Agree with you JayTrump, the only difference between Fine Gael and Fianna Fail is the latter are more expierienced, more brazen and better at it.
Kevin Cardiff went into those negotiations with one thing in mind to preserve his pension and his ludicrous entitlements,he sold Ireland out for the sake of the ruling elite.
When the present government say there is nothing they can do about the pillaging of the state coffers by retiring members of the elite they really mean they don`t want to,they were well able to break the contracts of the lower paid.
The sight of Ray Burke on the fat cat pension list is an affront to all the ordinary people of Ireland.

I must say despite being the liberal pro Europe  on here, I absolutely can't stand De Rossa, based on his history of libel cases I wouldn't want to go in such detail as to some of his actions but how he is an MEP for Europe is awful.

Agree with you guys.

It's taken a while for the current incumbents to show their true colours but the philosophy of "don't rock the (benefits) boat" is appaling.

The really depressing thing is that no-one is brave enough to challenge from within the system and "the few good men" a la O'Toole, McWilliams had their chance and demurred.

We need a Justice And Equality movement that shouldn't be hijacked by those with ulterior motives (such as SF). This happened before in the shape of the PD's who, originally, had very noble aspirations and helped to restore some order in the 80's.

The present auditor (O'Shea?) is being lambasted for not wearing the Green Jersey in criticising Cardiff (Pat Kenny says it was "bad form" this morning) and O'Shea has been forced to admit to "regret" due to the welter of government opinion against him. In many ways his best policy should have been to come out fighting rather than scurry away from the headlights. He'd earn far more respect from thousands if he simply said what he believes: Ireland are dumping an incompetent in Brussels.

He thinks/thought Cardiff was incompetent and called it in the shape of a whistleblower and now his career and (public service) future is in tatters albeit he won't go hungry!

Cardiff is a metropolitan Healy-Rae complete with comb-over.

What O'Shea did was pathetic and indefensible ....
