He never came across as the most interesting of characters. Unless you think drinking 20 pints a night makes a chap interesting...

What about McCoy's new book?

Someone suggested Brian O'Connor's Add A Zero to me. Not my kind of book, but does anyone know how he got on ie, did he turn 5k into 50k? Presume not.

Graham Bradley's The Wayward Lad is a brilliant book. The standard by which all jockey autobiographies should be judged. He might be sketchy on the truth in some parts but it's a great read.
An autobiography should be a warts and all kind of book. Otherwise it's just a bit like a West Coast Cooler...light. Read a review on Carberry's book the other day in the Racing Post. Barely mentions his two previous children in the book. I don't want to read about his results. Just want the truth.
Richard Dunwoody's autobiographies are quite good.
The Grass Arena is a great book (kinda sport related).
Lance Armstrongs books are good alond with Touching the Void.
Mohammed Ali has had a couple of books written about his life. They're good too. Quite old but good. think it had a yellow cover!

"My Life as a Millionaire" is the touching and yet compelling autobiography of norn iron.

It describes how he rose from humble origins to being one of the richest people in Ireland simply by Laying every tip offered up by workrider and Giant Strides! Laugh

You might be interested in Richard Johnson's new book, Horses i have fallen off. Or Richard Hill's new book, Races when i have been blocked in unable to get a run but finished second. Both of these books have a lot of pages so they will keep you interested all year.

If the 2 books i mentioned are bit too long for you try Mick Fitzgerald's new book, Races where i haven't tipped the first 2 in the betting or the one trained by Nicky Henderson. I found both pages to be informative.
