If you are sure money taken at the time you said (obviously check your statements at the time), go to your bank & ask them to do a charge back as this was money taken fraudulently.

Just been to my AIB branch. Not entited to a charge back according to them.
Report Deplasterer November 22, 2011 2:16 PM GMT
nonsense eric, if it has been taken fraudulently they have to do a charge back, get a crime number from the guards & don't leave the branch until you have spoken to someone senior.

bank of ireland rang me this afternoon to say they were going ahead with a charge back for all their customers affected
Report ericthered7 November 22, 2011 3:35 PM GMT
On what basis Fallon. Because of the time delay or because they were duplicate transactions?
Report ericthered7 November 22, 2011 3:51 PM GMT
Somebody's winding somebody up here. According to Betp£ck this only involves AIB customers...?

A "late presentment" chargeback is initiated by the cardholder's bank for a settlement processed more than seven days after the transaction date.

The firm is a rancid disorganised disgrace clinging to a Rock in Spain. If this happens to you give them nothing. When they will take a bet perhaps I may change my opinion....
