No its not another quiz its just me being mischievous.
Workrider mentioned Frank Kearney on another thread and this was the horse he part owned,he also part owned a horse trained by Joe Crowley called Scollum i think won at Killarney and Tralee.I always thought he was from Carrick On Suir but as Kilsheelan is close by no matter. He was a lovely man who like us had a lifelong interest in racing.
One of the prime movers behind the Clonmel memorial race was a Carrick man the elusive Dixie Dalton.

An intriguing reply but can you confirm that the horse was Scollum and that he won in Killarney and Tralee.

it won races all right wildman ..but were i honestly cant remember...its well over 20yrs ago...i was with frank the night he booked willie carson for time machine in 1985..we tried for ages to get through to carson who thought it was a joke been played on him....i think frank and hughes fell out over something afterwords..he said pat flynn was a smashing trainer ....i never understood how he dropped off the radar for so long ....training is really only a fashion at times...its great to see pat having had a good year...

I always thought Time Machine was owned by Paddy Monaghan of Potato Merchant fame,he definitely had a major fall out with the Hugheses. They got him declared a disqualified person and had him escorted out of Cheltenham.
