Top two in the betting too bad to be true,Shadow Eile's jumping was awful.

Shadow Eile and Chaperoned ran absolute shockers

The way Sword Of Light won the second race, he looks a star staying chaser in the making. Absolutely bolted in and could have gone around again. He's one to follow over the coming months & years for sure!
By:
Ran a shocker...sorry to anyone that followed
By:
Pull Hard,we're all big boys here and people are free to follow or not, this is a place to think out loud or if you get a whisper for something.
We'd have no forum if people didn't post up opinions BEFORE the race starts ,as we can all be experts after the event. |

What a smashing ride by Ruby on 'Burnt Oil Babe', no disrespect to Barry Cash but he cost her victory on more than one occasion by taking the running up too early.
By:
just back ....shadow eile ran no sort of race....she looked fantastic in the paddock as did jacksonslady and clarach...the only one of the trio to run a reasonable race...shadow eile never jumped and looked beaten after a mile...the fav was out on her feet a long way from home as well..i'd leave the form of this race alone till i've heard explanations from connections... a very good crowd in attendance...

workrider any word on the track as to why dazzling suzie a non runner ?

Looking at tomorrow's prices, Sailors Warn 5-1, Rathlin 7-2 & to a lesser extent Roi Du Mee 5-2 look overpriced.
By:
I copped that Don, that Barry was jocked off today. Also I was surprised Ruby was only jocked up for the two rides today. The other one for the old man.
I see he is only jocked up for one bad yoke tomorrow. I wonder what's going on for the slow down in mounts. |

never heard a thing tbh dinglemick....

She was stiff according to Irishracing.com
Non-Runners Dazzling Susie (stiff) |

Had three bets today. Backed Shadow Eile, On the way out( each way bet to nothing and Smoking Aces. I have posted before about how poor I think MP Walsh is. He is a shocking jockey. He puts more horses on the floor than any other jockey riding. Would love to know the stats. This horse would be a 140 horse if trained by Mullins. still feel there is a big handicap in him with the right Jockey on board.

Everything seemed to fall right for Ruby on Burnt Oil today. Cash couldn't do the weight it says on irishracing.com. Still Ruby hit the front 2 out, the same as Barry used to do. Not a huge fan of Mark Walsh but Smoking Aces is very tricky. That trip is Smoking Aces trip. 2m 4/5f. A race like the Leopardstown chase could suit. Used to be the Pierse Chase.
Ruby is very hard to get if you do not have a horse with Tony Martin, Willie or Ted. The biggest problem is Jennifer. She has a very good knowledge of the from book and will not allow him up on anything that does not have a serious chance. It's all about percentage of the pot. I'd say he doesn't want to take the chance of getting injured for 5k maiden hurdle. |

did u back sword workrider
By:
no backed first fav ..his excellency ..one to take off the gigginstown winner factory....
By:
he was a bit buzzy early.a few quiet runs now and a nice handicap mark id say.i was just waiting for sword of destiny to turn a cartwheel at d last!!!
By:
bundle of fun only has to stand up tomorrow his handicap mark is unreal,if the ground looks tacky i'l lay steps of freedom, shinrock paddy should win but he can pull hard on his first run back so will leave him at the price
By:
i've always liked shinrock paddy , and will be tempted to have a bet on him tomorrow....
By:
Bundle of fun does look a good thing! Forget about going to the sales buying unraced horses, go to Rothwell or John Murphy stable and buy any horse that finishes beaten less than 30 lengths in any race and send them to a decent trainer. John Murphy being shown un a very poor light with Dorset Square improving 50 pounds and Bundle of Fun probably d same by this time next year.

Chaperoned, the 11-8 favourite, finished sixth. Rider Robbie Power said of the favourite: "She ran no sort of race, she was very flat, she had a hard race last week and it seems to have taken its toll on her.

Forpady back today
. Woudln't be taking the odds on mind over 2m 7f though.![]() |
By:
2.45 - 2pts win Steps To Freedom @ 6/4
3.15 - 1pt win Munsaab @ 8/1 3.45 - 2pts win Shinrock Paddy @ 9/4 That's my lot for today, couldn't be arsed typing out reasoning as don't have the time ![]() |
By:
2.15 Mississippi River, twice gave Rebel Fitz a good race.
2.45 Steps To Freedom, classy horse but the ground a concern. 3.45 Shinrock Paddy to make all. 4.15 LAY Forpadydeplasterer,2ml 7f on this ground first time out at those odds has to be a lay. |
By:
worried bout shinrock paddys price thought he would be a lot shorter.it may take a run to take the freshness out of him.rathlin today maybe?
By:
dave,he's won first time out the last two seasons after similar breaks so here's hoping,Rathlin a big danger though.
By:
and ive backed him both times but he takes some grip early he wouldnt want to be tanking down to these fences having said that he is by far the best prospect in the race
By:
hopefully a better day for punters today ......... got no run on my two bets yesterday his excellency and shadow eile ...........
The one i m going to have a good crack off today is Missisippi River ......only one horse to beat and thats the in form meade team s il fonemeno ..... I backed rebel Fitz the last day in Clonmel when he beat Missisippi River but i can honestly say if MP jumped his hurdles a little bit better he would have won imo ... at 3/1 he worth a good bet each way cause if meades beats him he ll defo be second so only a small loss if you back him each way .....I think he ll win today if his jumping brushes up bit and normally it should as it was his first run over them at Clonmel ....Also nice to see the yard having an easy winner yesterday with on the way out good luck all |

Good sustained support for M River, fav drifting a bit,a good start to the day would be very welcome

Ah, watched it back and he made a howler at the 5th or 6h flight. Apologies Paul

That mistake knocked the stuffing out of it,probably wouldn't have been good enough anyhow looking where Letter Of Credit finished.
By:
have to lay steps on the ground
By:
Made the mistake at the 3rd hurdle. Lucky to see it as the camera work is terrible at punchestown as usual.
By:
One bet today, 13/2 Clarkey 3.15, 10lb lower over hurdles, ew.
By:
Steps To Freedom did it well considering hating the ground and missing the second last out.
By:
Robbie Power....does he ever give you real confidence when he is coming from behind??....I worried their!
By:
Anybody backing Rathlin.....the scope is very much there. Mouse said he has been very easy on him but he did get the First Lieutenant well schooled before he ran a few weeks ago.
