Incredible i posted on that thread all the points were made in a reasonable fashion,no swearing no name calling,i actually argued that there was no conflict of interest.I have now changed my mind on the basis that someone got it taken down,it has to be because there is something wrong, there must be a fear of litigation.

Wildman, as the instigator of the thread I tried to make my points in a reasonable manner with no abuse. To recap the main thrust of the thread was to query why a Turf Club job was given to someone who has a number of other sources of income, and not to some person who would have a much greater need. I also stated that the position was not advertised-FACT. That Ms Walsh is very quick to give results-FACT.That she got a photo finish wrong last year-FACT. That she was slated for this on ATR by Matt Chapman-FACT. I also queried if there a possible conflict of interest in a judge adjudicating on a race where her brother is a participant, and that she is the same brother's agent. I believe these are valid points to make and i believe I made them in a fair and rational manner with no name calling or personal abuse. God help this forum if such threads can censored for no apparent reason.

gubu How come Jennifer Walsh was appointed temporary judge by the Turf Club? She holds the lucrative(very) position as agent for the brother. She is a Production Assistant with Highflyer, in addition to doing a bit of buying and selling and helping out the Daddy. Surely a position like this should go to someone who doesn't have so many fingers in so many pies, and would be in greater need of the income or is it all a closed shop. Surely there is a conflict of interest in a judge adjudicating in a race where her brother is riding?
silvergreaser For someone who has all these jobs its remarkable the amount of spare time she finds to get Betfair to pull even the slightest of critical threads about precious Ruby. Who knows maybe Betfair are paying her a few quid as well to moderate the Irish Forum in her spare time?.
Getting paid to be her brothers agent must be the easiest job in the world, if he rides in England he automatically rides for Nichols back home in Ireland he automatically gets the majority of the Mullins rides, she wouldn't be frantically ringing all round ulike other agents with journeymen on their books, in fact I'd say she hardly ever has to make a call Ruby virtually books himself.
da fallon factor Its a disgrace!
Blackwater It's clearly inappropriate that a jockey's agent should be employed as a judge.
gubu I could well be wrong willie. I thought it was Clonmel but it could well have been Tipperary. Either way her wish to be the second Dave Smith rebounded on her.
Bigwillystyle Gubu was it not at Tipperary? I think it was Kings Bastion who I backed and had clearly won and dead heat called.
gubu Gotchee, these positions are not advertised. It's all jobs for the boys-or girls in this instance. At Clonmel she called a dead heat when it was clearly not. Chapman slated her on ATR.
wildmanfromborneo Yes Gubu probably so,its all great when she is right but there would be pandemonium if she got it wrong. I was not aware she got one wrong, did she amend it in time?
jack07 same old story with irish racing, u have to be in the inside!!!!!!
workrider gubu...i would agree with you .it seems to me that certain familys in both horse racing and dog racing have a massive chunk of the pie...
gubu She seems to want to outsmudge the infamous Smudger. She got one horrendously wrong at Clonmel last year.
wildmanfromborneo She was the judge at Gowran on saturday. In the three year old hurdle Burrenbridge Lodge and One Cool Shabra flashed by together she didn`t even call for the photo she just announced the result,i know it was a head but it still took some guts. One confident young lady.
Jennifer W*al~ssssssh judge, etc. etc. gubu How come Jennifer Walsh was appointed temporary judge by the Turf Club? She holds the lucrative(very) position as agent for the brother. She is a Production Assistant with Highflyer, in addition to doing
the point isn't that the job should have gone to a more worthy / needy individual but that the job SHOULD NOT have gone to a licensed individual who can financially benefit from her decision. In cases where a steward owns or is associated with a horse he/she will absent themselves from any enquiry concerning their horse. How can a steward (who is not allowed to bet)be allowed to adjudicate on a photo finish where they recieve a percentage of the prize money. Really Miss Walsh should either
(a)relinquish her jockey's agent licence or (b) resign as a judge.
NO DEBATE NO ARGUMENT
