2.15 Not My Idea will hopefully build on his useful first run.
4.15 Hollyville E/W will be hard to keep out of the first 3 and it just might get the better of the fav which is the main danger.

Any thoughts/fancies?

well punchestown 2 for me in tramore today are golan guy 3.15 handicap hurdle  and Tico 4.15 beginners chase ......
not the most original selections both around 7/4 / 2/1 shots .....i ve missed the bigger prices on Tico so hoping he might be a little bigger on the show ...... You can see Tico s attraction to punters won a point to point this time last year and also showed he can handle tramore when winning a maiden hurdle there in april ....fit and running well of late expect him to win ..
Golan Guy also in good form lately having won on the flat and a beginners chase the last day ...usually saves his best runs for up the north ...with ruby up should be able to win off a mark of 102 although i think its a competitive enough race ....

Agreed about Tico and I might have a saver on as I've already backed Hollyville in the same race.Good Luck to you.

No bets for me, Shelbourne Park greyhound track is a better gallop than Tramore racecourse Devil

Golan Guy never lifted a leg and no danger of Ruby being done for over use either.

yeah thought he was travelling well going out on the final circuit seemed to go out like a light

Unlucky DM,thought it was going to win there as the eventual winner didn't find much.

Review

Race 1) Sughera. The McCartan's owners of the winner were once a great name in Irish racing. Many wiinners in the 80's ridden by their sons. Geraghty is going to be busy this season home and awy now that he is getting the O'Grady rides.

Race 2) Ta Blazes. Badly needed for Rothwell who I believe could be the first trainer to lose an inmate of Gigginstown, Rathlin. Let's hope he informed the Owner of the gamble.

Race 3) Point The Toes. Just goes to show the CD theory works here more than anywhere else. I was down there in August when the ground was like the road and she even won on that.

Race 4) Regal D'Estruval. Jim Culloty for all the money he put into his gallops and bloodstock found it hard to train a winner. Now a second winner within a week begs the question has he got a new No 2 man.

Race 5) Ordinary Man. Shay Barry a local man rides this place better than most and after Carberry he must the oldest man in the weigh room.

Race 6) Shernaz. Another course winner, could this be the second coming of Jim Dreaper. His fortunes have really a nadir of late but with 10 new inmates from the Potts his time may be here again.

race 7) Shotavodka. Wouldn't it have been appropriate if Nina's brother was in the saddle with a name like that. I just heard on the radio an ad for PC's autobiography and if the promo is as good as the book then it will surely be a right rollicking read.

Have just returned from Tramore where we all had a proper days racing.Weather was squally and blustery but we ended up swathed in sunshine, punters certainly had the best of the exchanges. As Soapp as already alluded to the old rule of horses for courses round Tramore yielded two well backed winner.Point The Toes won the handicap hurdle in the exact same way as he won his maiden here.Nina Carberry won the bumper with ridiculous ease at the very generous price of 3/1.
Spare a thought for W.F.Codd and the Office Boys Syndicate, they lost Its Ironic in the handicap hurdle and then Tico fell at the second last in the beginners chase when looking a winner.I hope their luck changes.

Backed Nina in the last never a moments worry, you however have me looking at League Of Ireland results and i have a horrible feeling your super human efforts in Europe are beginning to take their toll but at least the title is in your own hands, win your last four games although easier said than done.

easy money all right with nina she rode the others to sleep ..having said that she was probably on the best horse anyway.....we should have put bohs away ..we let them back in by sloppy defending a regular occurance i'm sad to say ....cant really see us letting this slip though...we have a habit it of making it hard for ourselves ...
