a truly magnificent night ....

one of the great nights in the history of loi football imo...simply superb ...having been to most european games since i was a child ..i'd safely say this was one of the best ever....our fans were unreal in their support .. a wonderful bunch their only interest was in enjoying themselves ...and boy did they enjoy themselves ..what an advert for irish football supporters ...the spurs fans clapped us as they left the stadium....we were right beside the spurs fans behind the goal...the banter was brilliant ....we sang from the moment we entered the ground an hour before kick off till well after it finished ....even when we were 3/1 down we sang and sang to our hearts content ....the spurs lads said they couldn't belive the support we gave rovers at that stage ..
as they would have been booing their lads if they get that far behind in a game..they said it was so refreshing to hear people singing the praises of the players rather than knocking them...a truly wonderful night ... i think rovers and spurs developed a strong relationship o the night ...i was proud as punch when we scored and my two sons and i hugged and looked at one another in disbelief were we really one up against spurs ..oh yes we were ....a feeling money cant bye ..a night me and my sons and all those there  thurs night we remember for the rest of our lives ....
