Remember him winning a novice hurdle on Stephens Day in Leopardstown. Ted rode him to win a couple of bumpers also iirc.

Good horse.

The best horse trained by Ruby Walsh that i can recall. Was placed in Dessert Orchid's Irish National and think he also won a big 3m chase at Leopardstown. Findus/Harold Clarke?

Roc de Prince was also a useful 3m chaser, beat Cahervillahow in a Thyestes, but imo Barney was better and as you said above could have been top class but for his injury.

top class novice hurdler, destroyed a good field in champion novice hurdle at punchestown, pity he was never totally 100% afterwards but still won good money over fences.

Owned by Paddy Donovan from Knockshegowna a good North Tipperary man. They skipped Cheltenham as a novice incurring the wrath of Terry Rogers who appeared on television saying the meeting was ruined because our best novice wasn`t running.

How good could Buck Rogers have been but for the injury he sustained?

Report Princesse D'Anjou September 25, 2011 9:28 AM BST
That's right Superdub - beat 16 others aged 13 in 1993, last run was two weeks later when runner-up at Ashford in a 19 horse field.

Just found the racecard from the day he won the Findus Anniversary Hurdle (2m6f) at Leopardstown on December 28th, 1987. Brendan Sheridan rode him and the first prize was IR£10,350.
