 now is usually the time of year every owner thinks they have the oaks and derby winner in the kennel! |

THANKS KAVVIE, had a very enjoyable 3 days last year, its a pity the fav went lame in the semis, although a few
people on course seemed to think that the track bred dog ( central city ) would have won anyway !! i wasnt sure if the crowds were still going to be there, what with the recession and all, but there didnt appear to be much of a difference if any. !! the ferry crossings were pretty stable as well which helps !! nothing worse than paying 4 euros for a pint of guinness and having it spill all over the place !!.. i will be looking in on the thread with intrest hoping SNAPS still a good judge... |

Not too sure yet kavvie, usually the standard of coursing is much higher at kilflynn on the same day but I will wait and see until both draws have been made to see where I will go to.

Met your friend magic md in Dublin at the weekend kavvie. He says that he has heard of a few decent pups around the place. He told me a very well regarded pup will be making it's debut in Glin on the 2nd weekend of coursing and that you yourself have a nice prospect to look forward to during the winter also. Not sure if he was joking or serious when he said that though tbh.! It's hard to know with him at times![smiley:crazy] Trials being held in Kilflynn next week I have been told, may go down if I am not working when they are on to survey the up and coming super stars!

Fair enough kavvie. Where will his first outing be? For what it's worth for anybody that's interested, md told me to watch out for billyrayvalentine at Folkestone on Tuesday, and that it would win doing cartwheels, but is not much of a price. He was on LARGE last week when he won on his nursery bow he said and still way ahead of current mark under a penalty. Yes kavvie I was at the match too, met md by chance in the hotel lobby on Sunday morning. One of the best finals I have ever attended and I have been at my fair share of them.!

You are welcome kavvie. I had a big cut at it myself this morning. Not sure I will be of any assistance to you during the winter re: horse tips, I would have no real contacts in that game, just form my own opinions. MD is the man armed with all the info. on Uk racing! Although I doubt we will be getting any more throughout the winter as he said he probably wasn't going to post on here ever again because of all the stick he got on here last year!
 I will post any though if I get any off him at coursing meetings during the winter! |

Honestly doubt he will ever be on this again. He couldn't handle the amount of stick and abuse he was getting on this last season, so much so that he had to go and get counselling after it.

Yes he said that all the stick and abuse he got for his opinions on coursing and after putting up winner after winner on his "Got a tip for a horse" thread he just couldn't handle it anymore.

He is winning alright. A very successful punter. Just could not handle on the knockers etc. on here I think. Billyrayvalentine runs again at Wolverhampton at 7.30 today. Just rang md when I saw it in the paper and he is playing up all his winnings from him from the last day on him tonight. His exact words was that the said horse was a licence to print tonight! That 13/8 won't last long I'd say.

WM, i doubt md would be too pleased about me revealing his identity on here to be fair. He is the sharpest punter i know of tho. Has very strong connections in some of the biggest punting yards in the UK. He wouldn't have a clue about Irish racing tho. Guess you can't be a jack of all trades!

Just back from the trials at kilflynn. Some very smart looking puppies there today it has to be said! Some of the top trainers in the land were there today with their hopefuls. Mr. Pat Curtin especially looked to have a few nice types at the trials today.

However the fastest hounds up that field today was a dog & bitch of Mr. Gerry Holian's, I certainly would not like to have a runner in the same trial stake as these 2 animals. World is at their feet imo

One that I am extremely keen to see run and get a clock on this Saturday is Bridies Arklow, who is down as a reserve in the oaks trial stake. I have heard exceptional reports on this bitch and cannot wait to see her in the flesh on Saturday! Looks like the Cup is Gadget Girl's to lose imo. What are people's opinions on rest of card?

Yes have to agree with you jades, call her now looks the proverbial good thing. Should have too much class for the others. Still think Gadget Girl will take plenty of beating in the cup though. Are you going both days jades? Looks like a great opener to the season!

Yes of course jades, that is understandable. Keep a watchful eye out for Bridies Arklow as she will probably get a run before the interval I would imagine. Ashtown Smurf is supposedly a bit special in the oaks trial stake at liscsnnor this weekend I heard at the trials on monday. Big things expected of this well bred pup.
