Was at The Curragh yesterday and had a good look at Maybe in the parade ring, she looks like a three year old colt. She will not train on and will not win the 1000 Guineas.I feel sure Aiden OBrien will make hay while the sun shines and mop up some more group 1s this year.
A tough talented genuine precocious 2 year old but she wont train on.

not having been there yesterday ,and plus i layed her , if i'd been and saw her , i just might have backed her if what you say is true wildman...i've always felt that the big fillies and from what i gather from your post , she must have been massive to look like a 3 yo colt .. and would have a huge advantage over the smaller 2yo types..i cant agree with your observation that simply by been like a colt would not make her train on ...did she shown any sign of temperment ? ...was she  buzzing in the parade ring ...? sweating ?.. over the years i've noted   2 yo horses that look like 3 yo dont always train on ..in fact and i have to be honest here and say i thought frankel would not train on...but watching maybe race yesterday she showed no signs that she would not train on...i think she'll have 2 races next year ..one prep then the 1,000 gns...

workrider she doesn't look anything like a 3YO colt my friend. More like a beautiful 2YO filly! Grin
Report workrider August 29, 2011 1:02 PM BST
its amazing how 2 people can have such different opinions of the same animal ...so which is it lads a beautiful 2 yo or a 3 yo colt....?
Report soldieroffortune August 29, 2011 1:05 PM BST
Every time she's stepped into the parade ring workrider she's looked absolutely stunning! Happy
Report wildmanfromborneo August 29, 2011 1:09 PM BST
Workrider... She showed no signs of temperment and was like a Christian going round the parade ring, she is not huge either just more developed than the others.
As an aside do you have any sympathy for the poor Serbians, bombed by NATO,hounded by The Hague and then unceremoniously beaten by Shamrock Rovers.Seriously these are great times for you and your club....enjoy them.
Report workrider August 29, 2011 1:17 PM BST
thanks wildman ...that was some bomb sullivan hit them with...Laugh....back to maybe wildman ..is it something you saw in her yesterday that makes you feel she wont train on ...or is that just a general observation..?...sof , whats your view on her apart from been a lovely 2 yo...?

Guineas winner workrider! Grin

She seems to me to have no scope for improvement, this is not a criticism just a warning to ante post punters. She is a champion tough and genuine and the best 2 year old around but i just cant see her taking that into next season.
Sullivans goal may become like Seamus Derbys winning goal for Offaly against Kerry in 1982 in that it will be replayed constantly in all the local hostelries with some justification.
Report workrider August 29, 2011 1:25 PM BST
yeah i liked the way she picked up yesterday myself...i'm sure wildman has a good reason for thinking the filly wont train on though...i dident see to much wrong with that performance yesterday....
Report workrider August 29, 2011 1:29 PM BST
i met pat sullivan at the airport and said to him that was the best goal rovers EVER scored ..he said tongue in cheek...that was the best goal I ever scored as well ....Grin
Report GANT007 August 29, 2011 1:31 PM BST
She put in a good tough honest performance yesterday.

Workrider......Did you hear the interview with the 2 goalscorers, 3 lads from your club(buzz was one lads name) and a lad that travelled out to the match......He told the story of the lad who sent home a 6 figure sum from Australia to buy the club back.........It was on radio 1.......good interview.
Report workrider August 29, 2011 1:49 PM BST
yeah i met him at the players awards last year ..he gave 250,000 to the club ...smashing fellow and very down to earth ...my son was one of the lads giving the interviews on the news the other night ...
Report GANT007 August 29, 2011 1:56 PM BST
Good stuff........One of the players recommended the 43 people who travelled over get a little thank you from the club.
Report workrider August 29, 2011 2:00 PM BST
i was talking to one of them at the airport he said been there was enough for him....i dont think they'ed be in any hurry to go back there....

Whether she will train on is a matter of opinion, but she was good yesterday.
She had it easier than expected as imo La Colina for whatever reason didn't run her race. She was off the bridle fairly early and she needed a determined ride from the enforcer to get Group One placed. This could leave a mark on her.
Report neill d August 29, 2011 9:26 PM BST
Guineas is in a way the last 2yo race i once heard John Gosden say, it's tougher with fillies, I'll never be as certain about another 1000 Guineas winner as I was about Rainbow view, but I haven't seen anything yet that would get her off the bridle, of what is left, Celcil is said to have a strong team, i'll reserve judgement, but i wouldn't be laying the 5's either.

You have lost it Wildman another stupid post. You make a statement and when Workrider asks you to back it up you slip into nonsense about football to placate him.It has taken me longer to realize what the rest of the forum did, you are a man of straw.

the only style big willy likes it  is when he's BENT over.

and as far as wildbore is, i'm finished with the attention seeking  loser. if others are not willing to let him know that he needs to calm it down or leave for a while, and come back in a different state of mind. let them live with the forum in its current state and demise.
