The last maiden at galway turnover was split equally between daq and fair 750 k each
Report hammy July 25, 2011 6:25 PM BST
That would indicate a big swing alright.

Obviously the big boys have moved.

Out of interest I was looking at the liquidity for the next galway race purple 558k fair 352k at the off, There's a huge difference maybe purple is the way to go
Report dj876 July 25, 2011 6:52 PM BST
ya,the volumes traded are calculated differently tho, liquidity in running is better on fair, imo it's vital that daq becomes/stays a viable alternative to fair to halt bf from increasing commission/charges etc
Report Barca 4 Life July 25, 2011 7:21 PM BST
Purple have no inplay at all, But even after the race I noticed purple still had 72k more and that is with fair having the inplay advantage, It's pretty dire overall

The flip flop is almost complete with Irsih racing. It has been some turnaround but in hindsight was obvious as once they got betfair public they were always going to get lazy. THe platform is on its ass most days and the premium charge is the final insult for so many. To be fair purple have targetted the Irish market for over 5 years now and they needed Betfair to get lazy to get off the ground

Ever since Raymond Farrell retired, their Irish operation has been in decline alright.

I like Barry Orr and he works hard but he is fighting a losing battle trying to retain cusotmers in Ireland. There is only so much of the run around people can take. What they should note is that once the flip flop comes it is permanent. They will have to go commission free to get us back (which they cannot now as they have to answer to the market)

Watching the news now, they're comparing it to Cheltenham.

Meanwhile one of the races hasn't turned over three grand yet.

It's like a ghost town on here. Cry

turnover figures on **** have to be taken with a grain of salt imo. check the first in galway hundreds of thousands on flemingstown Confused
Report observerirl July 27, 2011 2:56 PM BST
