Lapsy Pa says Ruby out again. Just checked the irish racing website. Crushed vertabrae in his neck. Out till Listowel. I saw the fall last night. It was in the last race on the Hourigan top weight Friendly Society. Maybe he was blinded going into the flight and stepped at it. I don't think he was brought down. He is most unfortunate. Anyone know when Townend is due back. I haven't heard any updates for some time. Otherwise Casey will be able to pay for his wedding with all the Mullins rides he is likely to pick up if he is next in line. Mind you I have been saying that Condon has improved out of all recognition this last 12 months. He is young and hungry too and has connections to the stable previously. He was the only one who could get a tune out of the talented but very quirky Holy Orders. Andrew Lynch hopes to resume at Galway. He got a right fall on Easter Tuesday when three of them came down at the last. Ironically Ruby benefitted that day on the heavily backed jolly who looked to be going nowhere until that mayhem.

Anoyone else think that Norah Starr got a shocker there. I backed it each way at 10/1 and w/o at 6-1. Hoban missed the break, then rushed the filly up in the middle of the pack and set her alight. If he had taken his time and not pushed her up she would have bolted up. No head for race riding.

Bigwillie, not commenting on the ride as I didn't see it. I just want to mention the apprentice though.
Think about it, there are very few 5 and 7 lb apprentices coming through.
Halford is best with apprentices and now that his two Carroll and Foley have lost their allowances there is surely more chances for Hoban. I think he can be one of the next generation along with Whelan. Just give him time. Halford will sort him out in double jig time imvho.

Willie your right about Sam James. I forgot about him. He is good. Kevin P gives plenty of chances to the apprentices especially the Sammy's James and Bell.

Race 6) Define or Original Option both 5.7. First taken.
Race 7) Sin Palo 2.62 or Flycorn 3.25. First taken.
What is the logic behind this? Is it just throwing darts at a board? I see the darts hit a few bullseyes last night alright, but the thinking process is puzzling to say the least.
