Kildare v Meath

spelling and grammer are atrocious here, sorry lads, I know I should look up my own price as well, but I like to form an oppinion in my mind about what the price should be before I look at what the bookie has up.

Kildare will be slight fav. Thomas OConnor is the full forward you speak of I think neill d.

sorry yeah Tony thats the guy, I don't think I'm exaggerating in saying he won every 50/50 ball he contested in that game. I know he got taken off against Dublin, but I like the old adage of judging a horse on his best form. He reminds me of a less refined version of Donaghy, he seems pacy enough as well. There is scope for Kildare to go on imo, one could argue that they are operating up to now without their two best forwards, Doyle and Cavanagh, I'd certainly like to see Doyle playing a bit closer to goal, though he does seem strong on opposition kick outs.

Yeah I agree they're a dangerous team. Wexford are too. Can see these teams causing problems for some of the so called marquee teams.

McGeeney went on with a lot of messing versus the Dubs with the team selection. 5 or 6 subs started that day dont know what he was up to. He'd be better off sticking Doyle in nearer the goal. He is much more dangerous there.

They were much better than Meath the last day I think they will win by at least 3.

Yeah that would be my thinking as well, they seem to be well able to tough out games and play their best stuff in the final third, a bit like Cork I suppose, not really got the brilliance, but they will come with their run.

I think Kildare could cause problems for someone like Kerry as I'd say there might be a bit of an issue with legs in that Kerry team, despite the big guys coming back. Conversely, I just saw Declan O'Sullivan at 13/2 for footballer of the year a while ago, if there is any justice and the thing is done on merit, that looks huge to me. But I have a feeling the media will want Gooch or Brogan.

Yeah thinkin the same BJG, I'll probably back them at 1/2 tbh, I've a lot of faith in them, 4/9 is citting it fine though, I was hoping the fact it was on in Meath might inflate the price.

Probably no prices up yet as there is still an outside chance that the game may be played in a neutral venue to accommodate the potentially big crowd. I would say it will be priced up at best price 4/7 kildare.

The game will be in Navan.....17000 there last Saturday and probably full house 25/26000 this week.

I reckon Kildare will win, but I think they will trade at a bigger price in running. Considering they were 1/2 against Laois, that would have been rated the same, or maybe a bit worse than Meath, you would think it would be priced similarly again.

What a battle it should be in Navan. If that was all Meath crowd last Saturday surely we could see double the figure this weekend with the large Kildare following. There will only be a kick of a ball between them I think. Once again Kildare showed their lack of composure in front of goals and so did Meath, the shooting was atrocious. O'Connor looked the thorn in the Laois defence, Kevin Reilly cancelled him out at Croke Park a few weeks ago so a tussle between the two once again will be one to watch. Meath went for over 20minutes without scoring in the second half, if they go asleep like this against Kildare it will be game over, the lillies created attack after attack against Meath and of course Laois the last day but its just a matter of putting them away is the problem. Meath have an awful lot of work to do but will relish the tag 'underdogs'. I see some Kildare fans on numerous other GAA forums responding to threads like 'Donegal or Derry who would you prefer?'. They have a line drawn through Meath already huh.

Daryll Flynn would be the most obvious replacement in midfield for Johnny Doyle although can't see McGeeney changing it at this stage. Rob Kelly would be another worth considering playing in the middle of the park.
