That's true db1974 most of them played but at what level. I remember my grandfather telling me John Oxx Senior was a decent hurler.

J Oxx senior won a Meath SHC title with Dunboyne (in the '30's I think). I know it's only Meath hurling, but he was fairly useful by all accounts.
Plenty of ex-Meath All-Ireland winners involved as owners, breeders, punters:- Colm O'Rourke owned a leg of Teofilos dam with Bolger Mick Lyons & brothers into breeding Barry Callaghan owner, punter Don't know of any jocks or trainers though. |
