I can't believe he is 6/1 (365,wh and sj)for the brigadier gerard stakes at sandown on thurs over 10f,I don't think he stays 12f -not much stamina on dams side.I think workforce might not have his pace and jan vermeer at 6s ew is an ante-post bet still so doesn't matter how many run still 3 places.I thought he wud be half the price, any thoughts???

i was thinking the same. remember workforce 1st time out last year over 10f. worried about JV first time out though, might o'brien just be using it as a training session on the track.

Jan vermeer was impressive first time up last year over 10f,sum will say that o brien only has him in for a marker for so u think later in the season, but i think workforce is vulnerable over 10f ,small fields imo also a negative for workforce ref.dante and king george contrasted to derby and arc.I don't think there will be 8 runners on thurs so can only gurantee 3rd place on ew part as an ante-post bet

William buick takes the ride on JV,have laid wf at 1.92-way too short imo -7LB Group 1 penalty aswell,wf shud be at least 6/4.

dj876 , i was most impressed with this lad the day he won up the curragh and briefly went fav for epsom....i would also be very interested in that 6/1....i thought jv would have gone on to greater things last season ..maybe he runs best fresh.. as mightymoyes says its impossible to know what aob is up to ...if you were beside me last sat and over hared the conversation between two, shall we say prominent coolmore mentors you would ask yourself if even they knew what is going on.....

Good spot but it's not an ante-post bet BTW because final decs were yesterday lunchtime

9 declared so 2 NRs will reduce the place terms to 2

I cannot have jan vermeer, think he is slow as an old boat. Elusive pimpernel wasnt abused last time and should improve bout 8/1 crackin e/w bet.
Report dj876 May 25, 2011 9:17 PM BST
slow??clueless post,he won a group 1 over a mile by 4 lengths hard heldLaughLaugh
Report slickster May 25, 2011 9:20 PM BST
great chance in receipt of 7lbs from the fav.
Report yourlack May 25, 2011 9:25 PM BST
We will see tomorrow so. Best of luck
Report dj876 May 25, 2011 9:33 PM BST
It's not we will see tomorrow- ur post doesn't make sense have a look at his win in the gallinule giving 7lb,or the way he travelled in both derbys at epsom and the curragh or his 2yo demolition of a group 1 field all show fantastic speed,i have no problem with u saying he is quirky or simply not good enough but to say he is slow is just plainly unfactual.
Report yourlack May 25, 2011 9:50 PM BST
Giving 7lb to yacks.
Report dj876 May 25, 2011 9:57 PM BST
What about his demolition of a group 1 field over a mile as a 2 yo??IMO he didn't stay 12 f in either derby after travelling well, yourlack u seem shrewd can u explain to me how u feel he lacks speed??Do u think he cud be a stayer??
Report yourlack May 25, 2011 10:17 PM BST
Im nearly sure he got an uncontested lead that day in france it prob wasnt the strongest race either.
Report dj876 May 25, 2011 10:30 PM BST
So what race sticks out for u that he looked as "slow as a boat"?At gowran over 7furlongs giving midas touch 7lbs and a 3 length beaten????
