New Telly cost me more than the purchase price !

I recently chucked out me old big as a house Alba telly for a new slim phillips one all set up for this new digital change over. However I recently found out the another telly in another room which someone left on very loud is nearly 3 seconds faster than this supposed superior piece of Kit. And there was i wondering why I was having a tough month of it in running. So beware anyone who is thinking of upgrading - you may actually be losing picture speed!
