1)Days hotel for TJ Doyle and Henry De Bromhead but race is a mindfield
2)Harolds Cross in another brutally weak race
3)Cottage Oak ew the value with his experience to tell
4)Bethroded (nb) second behind Dance Secretary who was placed in group 3, had 90 rated Tasqueel behind that day when well backed
5)Balladine (NAP) slight concern that the track may find him out but she is an improving filly and could dtill be very well handicapped
6)Pass
7)Sense of Purpose looks hard to oppose

Ain Jalout 8.20 16/1.  Caught my eye first time out in Naas running well from off the pace.  A bit too keen for his own good the last day in Cork when making ground and then fading a bit.  Third run is sometimes the time to catch them.  On the basement mark and with a decent jockey booked i think he will go well.  He is 12 pounds lower than when winning over 7 in Fairyhouse a couple of years ago when i backed him.  In a weak race he has a decent chance.

Days Hotel in the opener,Tom Doyle will I hope pop off in front and try and make all,Doyle appears to be very good at these type of rides this year, agree about the minefield but at nearly 6/1 here appeals as a great E/W bet should it stand up but appeared to be a sound enough jumper over hurdles.

Would want to oppose Sounds of Jupiter anyway.

Does not look like a chaser and Killarney will test your jumping.

I see those who collected on Bideford Legend yesterday are reinvesting their winnings in the last today!

Days Hotel a N/R in the first.

Impressed with the way Meritorious travelled into the race LTO at Wexford and was still in with a chance when exiting 2 out, was first run back off a break so there's always the bounce factor but he's a course winner in a Maiden Hurdle and will be my EW interest in the opener @ 14/1

While Meritorious has won on yielding he loves the better ground which he now has, agree with Princesse DAnjou.

Back an Arthur Moore horse at your peril.  The man used to be able to train but alas not any moore hahaha.  I know he had the grand national winner but id say he has struggled to have more than 10 winners over the past 3 seasons.

Trained a 2yo winner last year too... the ultimate dual purpose trainer.
Report Bigwillystyle May 17, 2011 6:12 PM BST
The man has been a joke for the last 7 or 8 years.  He is bound to win a few decent pots with some of the decent stock he still receives.  Just my opinion but i think he is a poor trainer by todays standards.

Smart performance from Mossey Joe, despite one or two minor errors on the way around.

Poor enough crowd there tonight. Remember a couple of years ago the same night having a huge crowd.

Alpine Eagle wasn't fancied at all, same with Tommy Stack's.

Welds in the last was the one. When no money arrived for Byrne's the price dried up.
