given the incredible run of form he has enjoyed this week [form figures 1031111], he is well worthy of an EW poke at the price.
Given the incredible run of non form he has not enjoyed outside of GB and Ireland he is well worthy of a total steer clear!
On closer inspection his record is utterly diabolical!
Outside of Longchamp and Saint Cloud the only winners I can find are Joshua Tree in last years Canadian International and Man Of Iron in the previous BC since his pervious win in the US with Aussie Rules in 2006!

Wasn`t really tracking MOH but it was a decent effort in the circumstances. Chinned mine for 5th.

i dont know what hes trying to achieve bringing horses over just before they are about to run, literally just before in most cases.
they need time to acclamatize to the conditions, surely hes knows this.
he needs to get them there early and allow them to settle in. imagine jumping off a plane yourself and tring to run to your best ability in a totally diff climate against your contempories that have been there for ages!!
v poor planning as he DOES have the horses, esp when it comes to the turf races in particular. he should be mopping them up!!!
seems to have v little success outside uk/ireland considering the amount of tries he has and although money may not be an issue with coolmore, it seems pointless travelling over to the states in particular without allowing some prep time over there on the track that the horse is expected to run on as 9 times out of 10 the horse will not run to its 100% ability.

he seems to have very little success outside of the two bob Irish group 1s, period. Its really only a matter of time before Magnier and co ditch him. Given the stock he has, his international record is atrocious. Just consider the way Magnier gave Fabre ONE horse and he won the derby with him; look at number he has given O Brien and the lamentable results

Keynes thats probably the funniest post i have ever seen
Two canadian internationals, arlington million, breeders cup juvenile, two bc turf, bc marathon. The arc the ganay marcel boussac prix morny prix royal oak criterium international.
He`s won lots of big races of course yourlack, but he throws a lot of darts at the board.
I decided to dig deeper into his U.S record.
Since 2000 he has now saddled 101 runners, and won only 8 races!
Considering most of those winners were in the early part of the decade, his strike rate is now appalling.

His record is clearly heavily weighted by owners wishes to have runners. comparing with Andre Fabre won't tell you much, the demands placed on O'Brien are closer matched to somebody like Todd Pletcher who fires alot.
Its without a doubt the most fascinating stable for unders and overs in the UK & Ire.
