Poor festival, crowd looks massively down on previous years. First 2 days and 4 bumper races, should be a 3 day festival, absolute greed seems to have diluted this.
Pause Switch to Standard View Punchestown a pretty poor festival

Not knocking it but it's at least a fortnight too late this year.

Fairyhouse fixing that meeting around Easter didn't help but they really should get the 3 main festivals in by the end of April.

I think they do their best. It's unfortuneate when Easter is late.
I don't think it is fair to knock it. They are producing great prize money and competitive racing in these austere times.

I remember when this festival was a pale shadow of what it is now.

lads on here criticising a festival that they didn't even bother going too...this place is full of some right "beauties"...

I attended four days of the festival and have to agree with GANTOO7 it was great.I am a traditionalist so i love the old races and hope they are retained. The finish of the La Touche was great even though it went against me,Rubys ride on Uncle Junior a joy to behold and today the exuberance of Miss Dowdall after winning the bumper made you realise the joy of racing and finally the charity race, lots of money collected for a great cause, and the same jockey trainer combination from last year landing a monster touch 14/1 into 5/2 favourite.

A great weeks sport and the GAA championship will be in full swing in 2 or 3 weeks....top stuff......and hopefully Chelsea will beat Man Utd.
