That opening race looked very interesting with a host of horses running very promising races,Fran Berry's mount was warm beforehand and ran very green after missing the break and ran on well, the winner looks really useful and looks a bright prospect.

Very good crowd down there considering Punchestown is on this week.
So You Think was a magnificent specimen. He was branded just like sheep. All Aussie horses seemingly have be branded. He had "M" dislayed on his chest.

I must say the crowds this year have been excellent. Maybe it's something to do with the good weather we are having.

Fingers crossed Workforce turns up for a match with So You Think.
I`ll get off my ass for that one.

Workforce could skip So You Think meeting

BY JAMES BURN 9:23AM 12 MAY 2011

WORKFORCE, who won the Investec Derby and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe last year, could be set for a drop in class and trip on his first start of 2011 in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown on May 26.

Trained by Sir Michael Stoute for Khalid Abdullah, Workforce was expected to clash with Aidan O'Brien's star Australian import So You Think in the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh on May 22, but connections are considering the Brigadier Gerard, a 1m2f Group 3.

Quoted in Thursday's Daily Mail, Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said: "We were patient with Workforce last year and we will be again.

"Ireland is looking less likely and the Brigadier Gerard is a possibility."

A field of ten will go to post for the Group 1 JLT Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on Saturday after Aidan O'Brien withdrew Jan Vermeer.

Canford Cliffs and his Richard Hannon-trained stablemate Dick Turpin head the betting for that.
