Newmanix there is not a hope in hell they will go of this price it's massive, nevermind the price being a poor one. It means that the line in the Asian handicap is draw no bet? There is very little advantage to be gained from playing at home in the league and plus you can be an away team and fav and Shams are certainly favs for this match. If my experience and expertise counts for anything Shamrock Rovers will be -0.25 meaning approx 2.32-2.38. I know sticking my neck out could end in tears i just think it's a serious price.

Anyway as my bookmaker says to me sa·yo·na·ra

Steeringjoenap hovered up the 2.54 and the 2.56, not a big gambler on 12X (Match odds) i will admit but that close to €200 large surely dome sort of respect is warranted my man?!

you could only have €150 in total, laddie...

you can't have had another ton at 2.54 based on the turnover stats above...

Yes and €50 somewhere else steeringjobnap

Giant Sap you know as well as i do you've had an excellent team up until this year, one of the best teams ever to play in the league probably. So i take stats like that with a pinch of salt. Anyway the DNB was excellent value this morning, but most people don't bet that way so that why i mentioned this..

Jeez relax, i always know i've destroyed you in an argument when you result to bringing up avatar changing. I think you altered my name 3 days ago just but you obviously forgot about "smellyfingers"?????

Anyway betting is a matter of opinions thats why i like hearing other views but the 6/4 with one firm is very big value imo Giant strides.

I'm not sure which is sadder; the fact that :-

(a) you ramped a bet that you didn't bet at the price; OR
(b) you attempted to then "gee-up" your prowess on an anonymous forum; OR
(c) didn't understand fully BF's matching convention - then attempted to convey
"another €50 elsewhere" when this was pointed out to you...; OR
(d) your repeated, continued spamming of this forum as some type of "big cheese" punter,
to impress anonymous people, whom you have never meet before.

you remind me of the chaps who manage to miraclously "green" their "tips" IR when they lose, but never when they win.

What the hell are you on about man? Where did i ever say i had €200 on with BF? read my post again please!

By the way how sad and pathetic are you to write rubbish you have no clue of? You've not even read my posts you arrogant clown. I can tell you what i have hell a lot more than €200 on the game as i stated, i don't bet match odds normally can you read English or are you that thick?

From ordinary 12X odds, looking for a link or any lab system that can help me with this. I used to use a page but i think it is slightly off.

(1.)    Take the inverse of the prices against each outcome in the Correct Score [CS] matrix;

(2.)    Sum these resultant probabilities for each outcome i.e. draw = prob [1-1] + prob [2-2], etc

(3.)    This will give match odd pricing;

(4.)     Amend step 2 above to calculate AH lines, by removing the impact of the handicap from each price i.e. the sum of probabilities for the home team “minus 1”, should exclude the impact of the probability of a 1-0 scoreline, etc.

(5.)    Use linear interpolation for the quarter/three-quarter lines, from the half-ball/level ball pricing, etc

Yes and i said thank you for that, but whats your point? Where are you going with this attack on me? What i was using was off a little. Look at it yourself (below) it's not bad but it's not exactly right, well i don't feel it spot on anyway. I have a spreadsheet which is better but you need to work out the supremacy.

PS

"If my experience and expertise counts for anything Shamrock Rovers will be -0.25 meaning approx 2.32-2.38. I know sticking my neck out could end in tears i just think it's a serious price."

At the current M/O prices, the AH is not a [minus] quarter-ball.

I hope this helps, etc.

LOL any chance you read my post i already said it was DNB line you may have learned to count but obviously reading English was not a strong point. If you read my post correctly you will see i said the price will end up at that which is an even money -0.25. That why i said the 2.58 or the 2.50 was value.

What you're doing is taking what i said and twisting it to suit you're argument, the fact of the matter is the bet is a value bet at 6/4 [;)]

Time will prove who is right me or you Laugh

You're caught badly here Steeringjobnap i can see why you don't want this too continue, you'd try to come across as a bit of a know it all, then galwayman just gives a good example why you are in fact clueless. I am going to look at that formula you posted it up, if it's right i know it was a copy and paste from another betfairian Laugh

It sounds spot on to be fair so i am thinking it's not yours [;)]

P.S. Then You have a pop at TGM for being a fishman and simply pointing out your stupidity ! all very convenient for you that the TGM is now deemed a fisherman and quite ironic after the amount of rubbish you've just posted. We'll see on Friday night will Shamrock Rovers go off 0 or -0.25 and then we'll see who is the real bluffer !!

Good night you're off your rocker. By the way, you calculation of the Asian handicap only works when you have a full correct score market, which is basically on the day of the match for most matches, which means it is not far of useless to a certain extent, not as clever as you like to think as you've discovered on this thread. Re-reading this thread has amused me greatly; I am naturally disappointed that it fell short of the "2 pager" I had hoped for; I do not however, doubt, that you will be immediately back upon here on Friday night, screaming like an idiot at someone you have never meet before..."IT WAS A -0.25 SHOT...SO THERE!"

Steering - do you actually have any opinion on the game?

The lad has come on and posted up an early fancy to help other forumites - your first contribution to the thread was to come out with some smart comment about his stake. If he only bets an average stake of a tenner then €100 is a lot to him. That's why tipping sites use a points system rather than a stake.

The line in Asia opened up 1.96 -0 and is now in to 1.73 so there's obviously someone else betting it for quite large amounts.

I agree with him that Rovers at 2.58 look a good bet - Bohs haven't been great this season and Rovers looked very good up in Sligo with a weakened side so should be more like 2.3.

I used to post on this forum before but people like you have just made it a total jokeshop - you refer to him "screaming like an idiot at someone you have never met before" - what about you coming on to this thread and offering no opinion other than trying to belittle someone you have never met before. Pathetic.

Ah I was sick Tony! I'd a decent bet on Hushovd but said to a lad in work that Van Summeren would go up the road for him because he was one of the top riders in the Tour de France stage over the cobbles last year. When Cancellara sat up and the others wouldn't ride I just knew he was going to win.
It was one of the best bike races I've seen though!

They are tough men Julio. Those cobbles arent for the faint hearted.

Unlucky with Hushovd. What was going on with the 2 lads having a go at each other in the chasing group?

I see we have more Rovers fans joining in here.
Rovers should be 2.3 Laugh
The last time they won in the home of Irish football was 2007. 6 games ago and they have only managed 1 goal in 5 games since. That was in `08 and none under O`Neill. Lies, damn lies and statistics.
Rovers will drift to around the 2.8 mark pre ko.
