He needs to work seriously on his putting, he just can't seem to even read a putt.
I don't know whether it's a new caddy required or what, but something has to change. Even apart from the implosion today he missed so many holeable putts over the first 3 days. He's got a huge amount of talent and he'll learn from this. Dustin Johnson and Nick Watney blew similar leads and have come back to win big events. Hopefully Rory can do the same. |

He is a very talented young man with genuine good manners. He has a lot of friends and support in the game and no doubt he will be back. That was a poor round, he was under immense pressure. He needs to go out in his next tournie and win it. He will play most of his golf in Europe this year so his chances of winning events are a lot greater. Come On Rory, keep the head up!!!!

Not to stir this up but he is more inclined to want to play for Britain. I think it is a shame but best of luck to him whatever he wants to do. I will not be cheering him on anytime.

Oh God -this Irish/British thing again .
I genuinely can't see the problem in acknowledging and accepting that a person can have (as they frequently do)a complex identity where there is combination of different flavourings of ethnicity , nationality and culture. There does not have to be any one-to-one simplistic correspondence between these criteria. Without trawling the world for the myriads of examples of identity mixture -one can be Irish and British . |
