gbs LIVED in 1916 ..but sadly for us never fought in the g.p.o.maybe he thought some meathman would have taken his place ...sorry ye lot never had english masters ...you must live in the only county english soldiers never set foot in ffs....

There was no Meath men at easter 1916, after they were given the name of the Royal County (Fact)

The original high kings of Ireland sat at Tara in Meath and were robbed by the english and the dubs(nothing has changed).

We offered to set them free but they told us the grub was good........the lads with the green and white jerseys with some crowd who do cheap garden furniture printed on it.........best grubbers by far.

Am always amazed by how many people misunderstand the reason Meath is called the Royal County.....and from the plains of Royal Meath.....but thats an aside,Meath has one thing going for it in that it has the most racecourses in a single county...4...and for that alone it is one of the good counties.I say these things as a Tipperary man.

For completely rational (scenery, know and like people from there, had a good time there, like GAA teams) or irrational (the opposite of above) reasons. Passing time until 9.30pm. These categories can change at the slightest whim
