Ihave often seen a quiz on the main forum but not on here so i will give it a try.
1.Batty Brennan races here.
2.A long way for Tadgh.
3.A number of fingers.
4.Silence for Micks lapdog.
5.The cannibal is irate.
6.Auditioner for the port advert.
7.Feral Aintree winner.
8.After the baker he won.
9.This gent loves his chips.
10.Repel about,they repel and congregated here.
11.Put in a swinging good word for a bad over hyped race.
12.Two ways to spell the colour hoary headed.
Not sure this will work on here but 100 euro to the one with most correct answers provided all are answered correctly.

Was at a Cheltenham table quiz two years ago,very enjoyable,sixty questions of varying degrees of difficulty we got 56 right 4 wrong finished third.Two teams scored full marks forcing a play off so the two teams with the 100 per cent record went head to head except this time there was someone standing at each table watching their deliberations...end result six extra questions asked not overly hard final score three...two.
It was then explained to me that the day of the table quiz is gone because apparently these new mobile phones are computers and they are used without making a call.
Thats my excuse for making the questions hard.

I may be aging Ribellaro but i think men of his generation would know that most famous of poems by heart.
Only two to go.Q3...A number of fingers....Its cryptic so its obviously not one two three etc so look for another meaning to the word number,my earlier clue was silent so try making the b silent take it from there.
A number of fingers...number is the crucial word with a silent b so the word is numb...what makes you numb ether the cold more likely the cold so now it is something that makes you cold....away ye go.

I have long considered the French as cheats in all sports,what they did in Formula One when they were in charge was disgraceful,they have no concept of fairness.In horse racing they lead the field in doping,both Phil Drake and Lavandin the 1955 and 1956 Derby winners failed dope tests the French authorities managed to bamboozle the British with threats of boycotts and legal action to ignore the test results.Like all doped horses the two were abysmal failures at stud.There were similar question marks over Relko and later on Trepan actually failed a dope after the Champion Stakes and they managed to convince the British authorities that in Ryan Price like fashion the horse manufactured his own dope.
My favourite flat horse was Nijinsky i followed his career as he went unbeaten as a two year old,unbeaten in The Classics,Irish Derby and King George until he arrived at the race i hate the Prix de LArc,this overrated over hyped race comes too late in the season for any true champion so the inevitable happened an over the top Nijinsky lost his unbeaten record.
This has to be the longest clue ever given but i will come back with another.

Sadly no although a Prix de LArc winner, read the clue again and concentrate on the word swinging...with what decade would you associate that word because in there you will find the answer.
