Any news on Russell, looked a bad fall.

In fairness to the jockey on Cool Quest BJG, the front 3 quickened away from him, its not as if he wasn't rowing away at this stage, for all intents and purposes he looked booked for a remote fourth, jockey seemed to except his faith, the leading 3 get did start to tire fairly quickly up front (morning supreme tired fall), Cool Quest was plodding on without the jockey beating him up, Coleman was probably surprised to find himself so close to Blazing Tempo's Quarters at the line?.

NORN AND DOWN
How the fook could any horse win carrying ye two pair and workrider steering the ship.... thats enough of a penalty for Arkle...ye 23 would stop a train [:)]thurles beats Down Royal for kip's when it comes to tracks.... some ride on follow the plan, i need to look at the video but he looked dead and buried passing the stands! All happened way to quick for TL, not sure whats the problem ![]() |

Thurles does not have good facilities with regards stands, bars and corporate areas but it does have the best track in Ireland, its not called Irelands first all weather track for nothing, also it is the best viewing track in Ireland. If you are a fancy dan looking for best dressed ladies competitions then Thurles is not for you but if you like national hunt racing and ordinary jump enthusiasts then Thurles is the place for you.
I was there today and thankfully the cold put the messers off. |

Me too did think that Coleman's efforts in the closing stages on Cool Quest was fairly shocking. Any effort whatsoever and he'd have been second.

i was there myself and your spouting absolute dung.... its a horrible track, tight bends, difficult fence at the top of the hill and compares poorly to Fairyhoyuse (similar in layout), Naas, Navan, Leop, Punchestown...not have good facilities ?????????? thats an understatement to say the least and yes i was there for the racing not the best dressed ladies competition

Swinia....Did you not enjoy the racing?
Cant agree with you about it being like Fairyhouse in layout, but unlike Fairyhouse it has a great track that can take some hardship.Thurles runs schooling sessions regularly not unusual to see upwards of a hundred horses on the track yet it repairs itself and races throughout the winter, thats why it is vital to Irish racing. |
