Nobody ever knew what this horse would do in a race.  Poor thing lost his life today, jumped like a stag til 2 out and then a seemingly harmless fall.  Horse continued to the finish line and that was it for him.Sad  I backed him often and today I was on him, looked a winner but thats horse racing highs and lows summed up in 60 seconds.  Sad for connections.

RIP

However he would have been third today as he was finished when he came down.

Sad for connections, was never a fan of the monkey myself but horrific for him to go in the manner he did.

yourbestmate, you must be blind or demented.

led into start, soon led, headed after 1st, tracked leaders, challenged 8th, led 10th, 1 1/2 lenghts ahead and still not ridden when fell 2 out

I am not in the least bit interested in what one particular in running comments person has to say. It is an opinion no more than anyone else's.

Twist Magic was leading but Thomas had have him a couple of squeezes, which was not a promising sign for a horse with very suspect stamins. If he had got over that fence he would have tired between the last 2 and would have folded after the last. The jumping which was extravagant at nearly every other fence, was a tired looking jump at the 2nd last.

Whether my opinion is wrong is for others to argue with (rather than ridicule like you) but in running betting etc is about taking a view based on what signs you see and your knowledge of how a horse has run in the past.

He would have been third in the end in my view as he simply would not have got home and those signs were evident in the 8-10 strides before the fatal fall.

you backed a horse which has shown tendencies to refuse to race on more than one racecourse appearance and you call thebestmate demented ffs get over yourself its a horse not a member of your family and by the way give up puntingLaugh

Totally agree with original poster and not speaking through pocket, Twist was gonna win and win well hardly asked for effort while other 2 horses were all out, but alas we'll never know for sure RIP Twist

Sad to see a good horse die, but he was cooked when he fell, imo.

Amazing that people that profess to understand and care about the sport can be so heartless.

Wonderful horse and I backed it at 5/2 stood in the Koral in Lime Street and was thoroughly enjoying its magnificent jumping. I think it was at the end of its tether when it fell as it happens. That's irrelevant.

Luckily horses that good getting killed in action is a relatively rare occurence but its a sickener for all concerned. Ruined my night of free booze at the Royal Exchange I can tell youSad
