Republic Of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni and FAI Chief Executive John Delaney will take pay cuts in further money-saving measures by the organisation.

It is believed they are voluntary reductions, with the news coming a week after the FAI let 12 staff go, including technical director Packie Bonner.

Trapattoni's current wage is estimated at €1.8million a year, while Delaney earns in excess of €400,000 per annum.

Speaking on RTÉ Radio 1's Mooney programme, Delaney stated that he will take a significantly greater cut that the five percent enforced on FAI employees.

figures in today's indo would indicate that 200K would be plenty in these current climate compared to previous incumbents

it's not like other businesses would be queueing up to employ him

If anyone is interesed in causing some mischief, ring up the FAI & ask them if it is true that Delaney
has taken a 4.6% paycut [from 435k to 415k p/a].

Because if you are told otherwise, the person at the other end of the 'fone in Merrion Sq. is telling
whoppers...

20k is what he has taken as a reduction.
