I liked Jigalo in the 2mile h'cap chase. A bit of a bridle merchant i know but unexposed over fences and may still be well handicapped after 13lb rise for pissing up in Gowran. The lack of a confirmed front runner would be a worry for Jigalo.
I thought there was a lot of negs about the rest Peak Raider is a dog. Another Ambition might have reached his ceiling over fences after struggling the last day. Knocknagow Leader beat a poor horse in Second Glance the last day and 114 looks stiff for a horse who has struggled to win over fences. Barney's Honour progressed all last season but he may just need this while I'm not sure Rothwell can keep a horse in form 2 seasons in a row. Silent Creek will prob need it, he doesn't have a great fto record Kimberlite King is a poor jumper and I think he will be on his head over 2 miles around here. Franics is a disaster. Mighty Massini will prob need the run and further. Clarkey needs to be fresh. I Hear A Symphony has a chance, will handle the ground but seems to need 2.5 mile. |

The last race The Archie Watson Memorial Race was won by a good un in Dylan Ross. It was well fancied in Galway (6/5 taken) and Brady's runner up franked the form at Naas last Saturday. Finished 5th or 6th in the Land Rover and all those in front of it went on to win. Talking of Archie Watson I am sure workrider and few of the more senior members on the forum will remember the brilliant Flashy Boy he trained to win many races across the channel over many seasons. As tough and endurable a horse as there was. There were few since who had his courage. Danoli, Dawn Run excepted. |
