Rocket, there was more people at the ladies football final than the last 3 rounds combined attendances of all games of one of the closest ever finishes of the LOI premier division involving the two biggest soccer clubs in the country.
So even comparing your LOI soccer to ladies gaelic is doing the good women of Ireland an enormous disservice as these hard facts show at least 20 to 30 times more interest from the general Irish public in ladies gaelic than LOI soccer. |

As someone has already said, you know Rocket has lost the argument when his posts go from bizzare to crazy, i.e your last post.
You've obviously got your facts mixed up with last years FAI cup final where school kids from the Fingal area were forced to wear colours, carry flags and bussed off to the match to try and make up a crowd. Now renamed as The "Rent a Crowd" FAI Cup Final![]() Good day to you. |
|
By:
Well that may or may not be the case but all tickets had to be paid to the FAI, ignore that 7,000 that travelled from Sligo why don't you
Game was sold out what more can you ask? certainly none of the tickets were free clubs in LOI value their product too much to give out free tickets ala the Ireland v Bushwackers. This year the FAI have made the tickets 10 euro which is an amazing gesture to the people of Ireland it will sell out and bar the hurling final i don't the GAA could say that this year about any match will nto any gaelic football match, sure not even the ALl Ireland sold out . |

Rocket, can your clearly searing intellect, explain to an uninformed like myself, why the the product that is the LOI premier league can cater for approximately 50,000 on any given day when all its grounds are full? I just dont understand.

El gato no time this thread is way off topic
Rocketfingers Joined: 20 May 10 Replies: 724 31 Oct 10 22:47 Had to laugh at the front page of the Indo and the star today, Brave Ireland???? My god they just got hammered in two games of gaelic football by Australia. If anything these Irish players were not brave just my honest opinion as they played both nights when the game was over and may have fooled some people into thinking the late rallies looked good and late on were the only time they seemed to move the ball with speed as well over all lack of heart to get beaten by what is basically your own sport. It would be nice if we can have a civilised chat on the subject. Dazza, gantoo please get back to this why did the outback kangeroos beat Ireland at gaelic football? ![]() |

Rocket, on the basis that your mind is so brilliant it can probably only deal with one item at a time, lets answer your question first.
The outback kangaroos were faster, stronger, hungrier and ultimately better at the compromise game than the Irish. A compromise game that is certainly closer to our game than theirs. They were also professionals competing against amateurs and the irish clearly didnt gel together as team very well. From that perspective it was a bit like the loi team that lost 7-1 to the man utd reserves. A man of your intelligence will have understood the reasons for that as well Im sure. Now back to my question skippy....... |

El garto your example would hold up if Man U were say a Ice Hockey team and had never seen a round ball before

now rocket neither of us truly believe an ice hockey team would beat a loi selection. no i just dont see it.
Can you help me out with my query, i cant figure it out |
|
By:
I could easily pick a team from the GAA clubs in my own (very average) county who would no doubt after a week together would easily beat the top LOI selection at soccer.
Would be made up of lads who went across the water and didn't quite make along other very talented footballers who also wouldn't bother with the rubbish LOI (despite being begged to play by LOI clubs) and concentrate on GAA instead because its where the public interest is here in Ireland. |

Rocketfingers......Any chance of answering my question......if you just made it up for fun admit it and all will be forgiven.
To make it simple for you name 3 off the panel I put up that are in state employment. |

Rocket i guess neither of us can explain it. Will remain one of the great mysteries. I met a bloke once who said it was because the standard was shyte and no one had any interest in it. How stupid was he?
