DEAD OR ALIVE ?

ME AND A MATE WERE HAVING A DEBATE OVER THIS AND FIND IT PARTICULARLY DIFFICULT TO AGREE ON AN ANSWER

SUGGESTIONS SO FAR ARE :-

Michael Flatley
Michael O'Leary
Arthur ****ss
Terry Wogan
Tommy Peoples
Bob Geldoff
Nadine Coyle

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR NARROWING THE LIST DOWN FURTHER?

Tommy Peoples?????? A fine fiddle player but hardly known that well in Ireland let alone the worls. You are obviously taking the piss with him in there and pretending you have never heard of Bono.

I can't see many people in USA knowing who Roy Keane is

Bono for me

Maybe Pierse Brosnan (given that he played James Bond) or maybe Liam Neeson

Bono would have to be the most famous Irish Person going.

Not right but you would struggle to find many foriegners who have not heard about him in some regard.

not sure many know that Bono is Irish, i met a bunch of yanks last summer...all ages..from 16 up to 50. U2 came on TV in the background, i said...ah Bono, one of our more famous exports. Not one of them (there was at least 10 of them) knew that he was actually Irish. They assumed he was American!

Have to do it by category , how many know Boyle(s law) ?   Daniel O'Connell was famous 2 centuries ago , not a mention here I suspect . Lucky St Patrick was not Irish , he might figure otherwise .
