The Irish sporting public turns it's eyes towards the cup semi finals this weekend. Both games are live on TV and two big crowds expected.

I Think with Bohs and Shamrock eyes firmly fixed on the league title maybe a couple of surprises are in store. Sligo Rovers are 7/2 and St Pats on Sunday are 100/30 both prices are worth a few bob and a small double at nearly 18/1 could be a great call. IF you're going make sure you get to the ground early to avoid bad viewing if you're not enjoy it whereever you watch them.

Think I'll head to the Wicklow Intermediate Semi Final double bill, probably be on a par crowd wise and probably interest wise from "the Irish sporting public".

Rocket hard to take your posts as genuine. Could you not start a thread about the FAI semi's without trying to wind people up or is that all you want to do?

Completely agree with wayside. Did I say that!?Cry
Quit patronizing the GAA lads and they wont react to your posts, therefore it can be kept to the topic you presumably want to discuss.

if rovers go 1 up early, they are a massive lay in running with 20 mins to go, and again with 10 mins to go

I am a Rovers fan and I had a punt. The 4.7 is the right of value, the stake lost will not add too much to misery, but the winning return will sweeten the piquant sauce of victory.  Bohs are a fine side, we have a full squad and I expect to witness a game worthy of the fixture.

Shams/Pats is similarly priced, but more worthy of interest. MON seems compelled to field a rickety back four in a team that may be the exception to the rule that the table doesn't lie. The rest of the league paid his team too much respect, for most of the season and along with luck, referees and a loss of form among their rivals  they coasted to the top of the PD,  but now the chickens or in the case of Tallaght the racing Pigeons are coming home to roost and therefore I am backing Pats to win for a  few quid along with a small punt on the Rovers/Pats double.

Sligo played some lovely stuff. Bohs were utter sh!te though.

Very impressive from Sligo.

Not many teams go to Dalymount and totally dominate Bohs.

Loads of  tricks to fill that "showboating" slot on MNS.

No complaints with the result, just with our performance. Pathetic.  We were totally outplayed. Best away performance in Dalyer for years.
Fair play Sligo.
