Cheers for listing the days of the week, oldbean.  That should make it easier for us!

Saturday:  Irish Times
Sunday:    The Sunday Times

During the week I vary it.  Have recently begun buying the occasional Irish Examiner.  Very good sports coverage, possibly the best of the Irish papers.

newspapers are a waste of money , and a good sports journo does not exist in this country
Report downallstar September 6, 2010 2:09 PM BST
very rarely but any, maybe a racingpost now and then, or one of the other racing papers if there is a good stable tour to be had.

cba with tabloids or broadsheets - which are as poor as the former.

Agree with itcanbedone, Examiner has a very good sports section. Good on a Monday for GAA to compensate for having to listen to the Sunday game sh*te analysis

the Examiner an essantial buy on a point to point Monday. great coverage
Personally I buy the RP most days , the times on Sunday . I tend to frequent my local coffee shop on weekday mornings to read aan extensive collection of both broadsheet and tabloid papers

You can't beat the The Daily Mail.

1) Two tipsters who give their Nap, NB, and Treble.

2) Peadar Flanagan always gives his view on most races.

3) An extensive synopsis after each race.

4) Better symbols than the RP after each horse. CD C&D D4 C2 GS G S HY etc

5) At €1 better value than the RP at €3.20

Metro on the train
free Indo at work Mon-Fri farming supplement and Foinse always worth a look

nothing at weekends usually

soapp bang on . I get the Mail for the sport...excellent coverage of all sports .
Racing --very good visual lay-out and the editor usually succeeds in separating the day cards from the evening cards so one isn't flicking back and forth like a fidgety octupus.
