Hated him playing for Ireland nevermind captaining the side, should never have happened, an embarrassment for Ireland and an insult to all the Irish players fighting for theiur place and pride to play for the green shirt.

it doesn't matter if he is a nice guy or what country he is from, it is an embarrassment that he is not Irish and unlike some of the other foreign lads of past and present he had no real affection for ireland then or now, in fact he loves another country and supports them , that is a real shame for all the Irish players who would have worn shirt with pride. Maybe this is why Ireland has such bad karma trying to qualify.

dont mind andy at all, his commentary is laughable tho, i dunno if its itv telling him and the rest what to say but theyre deluded comments during the english games in particular were a joke, like they were watching a completely different match!!

Mark Lawrenson is no different on the BBC, he probably has forgot that he played for Ireland at this stage, it's all about who pays them I would say.

I hated these boys playing for Ireland. Just a means to play International football for them - no sense of Irishness at all.
Either you consider yourself Irish or you don't, and if you don't then you don't play - simple as that. The whole ridiculousness of the situation is shown by the Boateng brothers though - one plays for Germany & one plays for Ghana. WALOFS |
